Better Hockey Portable Roll-Up Shooting Pad - Feels Like Real Ice, for Passing Stickhandling and One Timers, Large 4 Foot x 8.5 Foot Size

I really like this shooting pad. It replaced another brand (the one with the green clamp-on rubber band passing assist) and I got this one because the old one degraded in less than a year and started shattering. This one seems to be a bit more flexible so I'm hoping it will last longer.It's thick enough that it lays flat and gives a good stick handling surface, but still feels flexible enough that I'm not worried about it cracking every time we move it or if there's some speck of gravel underneath it. We re-used our old passing bumper, which clamped onto this mat just fine.It's slightly bigger than the other brand as well, which is nice. I have 3 players that use this between the ages of 7 and 13 so it gets a fair amount of use and has held up fine so far after a couple of months.

This shooting pad is great. The more I use it, the slicker it seems to get. It doesn’t slide like natural ice, but it does slide well enough for me to pass to a passer and shoot on my goal with targets. So far I am very satisfied. I am leaving mine outside all the time, so we will see how it holds up to UV over time.

I had an old smaller board for years that finally started getting dry rot and cracking. It was the same price as this and smaller. So I found this one that I could use for shooting, stick handling, or I can throw my Goalie gear on and use my roller flys to practice outside. It's perfect for a time we're in right now when all the rec leagues I play in are shut down for a long time. It's been a life saver in uncertain times.

Thick, durable and well made. Larger than other brands at a better price. Will last for years since we will use this indoor. Have to take two stars off because packaging is poor and the box arrived completely beaten up on both ends with edge of the pad scratched badly in transit.

My boy Cooper loves this and uses it all the time..

The mat itself is good quality but I knocked off a couple stars because of the missleading photos for the product. There are multiple pictures showing a passing aid but it is not included or stated as such anywhere.Update: Better Hockey contacted me about this review and did a great job of going above and beyond with their customer service by providing the passing trainer as well. Thank you very much Better Hockey. Five stars!

Bought this for my son’s birthday. Was very excited since the price was outstanding for a large pad and a passing trainer (as was pictured, looks like they not fixed the photos). I placed delivery package away until his birthday (never checked inside). Well, imagine how my heart sank when he opened a present and it was missing an equipment I promised him.... I felt horrible... The pad itself is large and durable. Wish I read other comments before I bought, unfortunately I was in a rush and just glanced at posted pictures. Thought I got better value for my money.

Great customer service and seems very durable. My son has used it daily if even only for 10 minutes for the last two months and even though it’s gotten super dirty from being in the garage it still works great. Awesome tool for my peewee player

Its very sturdy, good for inside use only, winters in Manitoba its not suitable for -25 but over all it held up this winter, perfect size for one small human

Works great, I would buy again, but I think this one will last me a long time. In terms of size, I highly recommend you get this size 260 x 122 cm, smaller will not be enough (for an adult).

Very good mat for practicing stick handling and for using to shoot pucks into the net. Took about an hour to unfurl from its rolled up state. Very happy to say that it has held up very well to the hundreds and hundreds of slapshots taken on it. Only thing I've ever done was to rub some wd40 on it to keep it slippery. Looks as good as new.

I bought the pad to practice stick handling. It is for the rec room while watching hockey. The surface seems to be good and smooth and the puck slides well enough. I bought the bigger size and it is just about right. The 24" version would not be big enough for stick handling. After about 5 days of us, I can see swirl marks, but no nicks yet from the stick. Over time, the surface may have to be buffed somehow. Overall, pretty good for indoor use.
