Oculus Rift + Touch Virtual Reality System

I am going to start off this review by saying that this is a great product and if you want it then you should get it when you have the chance. Okay so I’m gonna list a few issues that I have faced. I am not blaming the product I am listing a few things for you to take note of before you get the product.1. Make sure you have a large space cleared of furniture and anything that might obstruct your path.2. Make sure you connect both the monitor and the oculus onto the same graphics card. I have a GTX 1060 and a GT 730 with only 1 HDMI each. So I naturally connected the oculus to the GT 730 as that was not being used but then I realised that I lose performance when I do that. But if I connect my monitor to the GT 730, I lose performance in games that use my monitor so a simple fix is to get a “DisplayPort to HDMI wire” and use that instead to connect both things to the same monitor. This is something I didn’t know about and got to know after a bit of testing. So have everything prepared3. The Xbox controller and wireless adapter are not provided with this version of this product so make sure you get those seperately if you want to play games with an Xbox controller. You can also use a Micro-USB with the controller instead of the wireless adapter if you already have a controller (I already had 2)Overall I’m loving the experience and if I have to list my favourite game it would have to be “SuperHot VR” the feeling of dodging bullets matrix style is just way too cool to resist.

Outstanding product regarding the VR experience, just want to mention couple of thingsi) The Oculus Rift headset uses an OLED panel for each eye, each having a resolution of 1080×1200. So display is not ultra sharp and there are some pixelations and Screen-Door Effects(SDE) but nothing game breaking.ii) You need to have a fairly good computer to enjoy the headset at fullest.At least a GTX 1070 is recommended (though not always sufficient) if you want to use supersampling to improve the graphics quality.iii)Third party programs like VorpX (to play non-VR games in VR) do not match the quality and immersion of natively VR games. So do not keep high expectations for non-VR games.If you love 3d in games and movies just buy it and you will be amazed.

It's a must have gadget for any gamer. Just remember you should have GTX 1050 or more graphics card and recommended configuration of PC.. I had GTX 960 , which is below minimum requirement, so I had a low frame rate , which can cause a dizziness and motion sickness to the user. So better use high configuration hardware.Build quality and feel of Oculus Rift is premium.Overall I am happy with this product. I also used HTC Vive, but felt Oculus is better because it's more lightweight, comfortable and most importantly it's cheaper.

This VR product is good in all respect until I came across a recent issue with one of its sensors.Stating this issue to Amazon support, they diverted it to Oculus and Oculus team did the same. Now the product is under warranty, and I am stuck in between; thinking whom to contact. Both are simply diverting to each other.Awaiting for resolution and its been 4 months so far. thanks!

The best VR headset I could get as on date.

I bought a HTC vive and I'm satisfied.I didn't buy Oculus because Facebook is a really bad company to give your money to. Simply put Facebook is evil.They sell your data.Facebook Australia conducted a study on how to manipulate people.They work with dictatorships to make sure subjects behave and don't defy the dictators. They could've have a choice not to set up a company in such countries and thus not give data to these dictatorship governments, but they want the money.It seems Oculus no longer works in Linux. While Vive treats Linux as a first class citizen. Steam promoted Linux Desktop or Steam OS a lot.Oculus seems to phone home a lot more.Oculus puts out exclusives. Which is another word for paying devs to make sure their games intentionally don't work on other devices. This is a very unfair business and consumer practice.Simply put your money is going to be used for evil and if karma exists you're gonna get bad karma.
