Spiegelau 17.7 oz Barrel Aged Glass (set of 2)

Good price and the quality is good too. I use it for Belgian beers mostly and it works well.

Beautiful glasses, I even prefer them over the Spiegelau 4991974 Tulip Classics Beer Glass which had been my previous favorite (I have three sets of those). I immediately bought a second set of these "barrel aged" glasses once I received the first set of four. I prefer the taller elongated shape of the bowl over the 4991974's. They also have the same thin glass typical of Spiegelau glasses. However, they're not 18 ounces. They actually hold closer to 17 oz. when poured all the way to the very top of the rim. And the 4991974's actually hold more than their stated volume of 15.5 oz. - they're closer to 16.5 oz. (to the rim). Even with the volume discrepancy I'm going to enjoy these glasses for a long time... FYI: I would highly suggest everyone disregard the ignorant and irrelevant review posted by the 1-star reviewer. He reviewed the seller, not the item. His review is absolutely worthless.

We love a good beer in our household. And these are good for any beer style, regardless of what you might have been told. From pilsners to IPAs to Belgian tripels, these are great glasses.

These are very nice quality Belgian style beer glasses for drinking your favorite Belgian ales. The glass is thinner, but very nice quality no seams or bubbles and crystal clear. They ring like a bell when tapped and are also the perfect shape for enjoying your favorite trappiste ales, trippels, dubbels, etc. I'm not an IPA guy, but they would probably work well for craft IPAs, as well, if that's your thing.

These tulips have a fine feel, light yet don't seem fragile. A pleasure to use and just what I was looking for.

I finally broke enough of the Spiegelau stemmed Pilsner tulips to need to buy more glasses. I figured this would be worth a shot. First impressions: 1) The glass is really thick for Spiegelau. Their other glasses have thin, delicate glass that feels really high quality. This feels chunkier and heavier. 2) Taller and thinner than the stemmed tulip. I had considered the stemmed tulip pretty much a universal glass for most styles, as it had a substantial bowl for collecting aroma and flared a bit at the top. This being narrower, I was worried about losing a little bit of the smell, but happily haven't noticed a difference. Overall, this is a good glass, but I wouldn't rush out and replace other high quality glasses. If forced to choose, I'd say I prefer the stemmed pilsner, mostly because it feels like higher quality glass than this.

Prefect size for a 12oz can of beer. Feels great in my hands. Great shape and size.

Love this glass. Has become my every beer glass and not just my high octane or stout beers.
