I bought this to upgrade my existing growlight which was being pushed to its limits.The light arrived safely in a well packed box with wire hangars and clips.Installation was simply a case of connecting the power cord (which uses a standard 3pin connector) and adjusting the height required.The light has 60 lens elements divided into two channels. One for Vegetative period and the other for the Bloom period. Light output is stated to be ‘full spectrum’.The light has two modes of operation. Veg which provides light in the Blue spectrum and Bloom which provides more Red. Both channels have their own dimmer so it is possible to adjust the individual light levels. I particularly liked the ability to give the plants a gradual changeover to full bloom by reducing the Veg lights and increasing the Bloom lights over several days. This caused less stress to the plants providing a more Natural transition. The plants loved it!The unit is housed in a metal case with two cooling fans built in. I found this kept the temperature down and the light never got above ‘warm’ (about 24C) therefore had little affect on the temperature.The light needs to be kept about 18 inches above the plant canopy in order to avoid light burn on the plants. This will vary according to how young the plants are and how much light they can usefully handle.Overall I am very pleased with this upgraded lamp from Toplanet and at the price the features are amazing. You can have complete control over the light intensity and type of light with plenty of power to spare.

 had this for a month, like the aluminium housing, no moving part, full spectrum warm grow light, never overheated no matter how long you run it.I hang it on a tripod, place it next to my south facing windows, put the power on a power socket timer, it keeps the room warm in those cold night.it is bright enough for plant to photosynthesis yet it is also safe enough not to get sunburn on young plants which is deadly to them. I am effectively turning my spare room into a control environment greenhouse where i can manipulate lights, water, temperature and air. It is time for me to get more and expand.If you thinking twice about whether grow light is needed for your indoor plant, just get one and try it out, you never know what you can learn until you tried.
