It does work.
So, faced with the decision, do I get a new computer that works fine, or find out if I can just get a new battery. This computer is about 9 years old. If not plugged into the wall the entire time, it does not work. Battery is about as dead as my ambition to deal with dating. So, figured might as well just get a new battery for this aging dinosaur and see if it works. Computer is fine outside of, well, the battery issue. Old HP. Most of you do not even have cars that old. I will say, follow the instructions and it does work. Fits in nicely, does what it is supposed to do. Does it last as long as the factory battery did? No. But, fully charged, I do get about 2.5-3 hours of time to sit outside with it working just fine. For this price, worth it. Hope it does not go bad in a few months but for the price, I'll risk it.

This is a good battery replacement for the HP laptop
I got this Replacement Laptop Battery for HP when the battery in my HP laptop was not working properly. I had to always use my laptop connected to the wall outlet because the battery was not holding a charge. So, to be able to use my laptop on the outside, I needed to get a new battery. The new replacement battery works great

Great fit, decent battery life
I purchased this for my old laptop, and the battery fit inside perfectly! I really would say that it's really easy to install, and the quality is great too. The only complaint I have is that it's battery life when unplugged from a charger is roughly a few hours. Overall great product!

Connections can look quite similar on different battery replacements. Pay close attention to the configuration and you'll get the right battery.

Bad Manufacturing Tolerances
Battery did not fit properly in the laptop. It did not securely lock into place. Will be returning this item. (All electrical aspects were fine; the physical shape was just off. Looked like poor manufacturing tolerances.)
