I really like this grabber. I've bought two of them so far, one to carry in my bag when I'm out and about riding in my wheelchair and the other to use around my apartment.It's lightweight and foldable, so it's easy to take with me when I go out. It picks things up pretty easily and it's reasonably long. The price isn't bad, cheap enough to buy a few of them.It's not terribly strong though, I wouldn't try to push lifting much more than the weight of a can of vegetables with it. There is a piece of plastic between the two metal sections that has a tendency to crack under load. I wrapped mine with some duct tape and they have stayed together well.I'll probably buy a couple more of these, one for the kitchen and one for the bathroom. I have zero regret buy this grabber.

My husband has a real issue with dropping socks behind the dryer (almost an addiction).This tool has saved me! No more waiting till several socks landed and then moving the washer and dryer to get at those socks! It manages to pick up the smallest of papers, and fabric softener sheets and has even rescued a coin or two. I like it so much I installed a little hook on the wall beside my dryer (out of site) just to always have it handy.It’s been so handy in the laundry room, I’ve begun using it in the kitchen also to get jars that have been pushed back on upper shelves so I can no longer reach them. No more dragging out the step stool. Frankly, it’s handy all over the house.This one tool is so worth the money! A definite good buy.

Most people probably bought this to grab things that they can't reach or to pick up things cuz they can't bend over. I bought it to pick up dead bugs. I moved to NC and these bugs are way bigger than I'd like and I'm afraid they'll fight back. So once I kill them, or find them dead from the pest control spray, I use this bad boy to throw them away. I'm not getting close to picking those up cuz I can't guarantee they are actually dead and they are too gross to pick up with a paper towel.

This device helps me in two ways: 1. My puppy tries to engage me to play, so she purposely puts its ball beneath every large piece of furniture and I cannot get it out. When she can't get to it, eventually I try to run this grabber underneath the sofa or dresser until it comes out. 2. I have an injured and spinal cord injury and there are days just opening my eyes hurts. The Grabber Stick will get my medicine and my and a glass of water. I cannot bend over so this comes in handy when I have to pick things up. Very useful for many things. I love the folding grabber which means I can take it anywhere. I would love for it to be a stronger steel or chrome to support heavier items plus, make it longer. For what I need now it works well. I purchased this because it was foldable so I can put in a tote.

I did not buy this for the usual person who would use it. My 8 year old loves these things. He calls them grab nabbers. For about the last 4 years he has had one of these. He started off with the plastic toy one made for kids. It did great...until it broke. It was also getting a tad too short. Then we saw one at a dollar store one day and he wanted it. It was poorly made and broke within days. Once I saw this one, I knew I had to get it. My husband and I both tried it out to make sure it worked good. Then, we put it back up; I have already started Christmas shopping and this is going under the tree! He loves to use them around the house but also likes to take them to the ballpark and pick up trash during his sister's softball tournaments.

This grabber tool is perfect for anyone (not just elderly people) who have difficulty reaching items in high kitchen cabinets or upper shelves! I am just over 5 feet tall and had to ask my husband, tall sons, or tall friends (even strangers at the grocery store; so embarrassing!) to reach items that were too high up for me to reach. Now with this tool, I can get it myself. It is very light weight and folds to a size small enough to make it easy to take to the store with me and put it in my cart. The only drawback is that if the items are heavy, the grabber may not be able to hold on to it, so be careful. This is a great tool for anyone who has difficulty reaching some items without assistance or a stepladder.

I liked this because it was lightweight, which was very important to me. However the gripper itself is too short to be much use - I can use it to reach things that fall behind the bed (I have an open headboard), but it's no good to reach something that falls behind the couch. Some things are easy to pick up like utensils, but it's not strong or sturdy enough to pick up a soda bottle without a high risk of dropping or precise enough to easily pick up something like nail clippers. On the other hand, it's convenient for picking up socks, light blankets, and napkins that fall on the floor that are close by and also for reaching underneath items like recliners. It all depends on what you want to use it for.

I purchased this after hernia surgery. If you had any abdominal surgery you will experience the pain of being over. Let's face it. Restrictions after surgery is no bending over. You can't if you tried. Thats where this tool comes in handy. This is the quicker picker upper. I wish I would have purchased it earlier. Its lightweight but sturdy. I was skeptical about some of the reviews at first but overall I'm happy with my purchase. I am able to pick up my cat toys with this gadget. My only regret is not buying two because I don't leave home without it. You'll be surprose of how many things you drop and how often you bend over throughout the day.
