I bought this because it looked great, but wasn't sure if it would be too grown up for my nearly-3-year-old ; it is! (The age rating does say so, but some reviews seemed to suggest it might be OK). It's saved in a drawer for when he is bigger. The activities are geared towards the child reading them themselves and asking for help, rather than being adult-led activities, so the reading age of 6+ is probably about right, although the activities could be fun with a younger child.

I had hoped to have some practice items, before I do them with my grandchildren.But haven't reached that point yet.Though having had a good read of the book, not only does it have lots of useful & refreshing ideas itself. All of which are described in short, yet great detail. While giving you a short list of what you will need.I also found while gathering my cardboard, it also helped in my thinking of even more exciting projects, using similar materials.Definitely worth every penny and can't wait to get started, I know my grandchildren are going to love it!
