It works! Be patient! (Updated review 4 mths on)
Method of application: spray into bottle cap, using a cotton bud, i “soak” some of the foam onto the bud and apply between sections of hair, direct onto scalpUpdate : i have updated photos on progress. As you can see, volume of hair has increased. And my problem area is much fuller. I no longer feel as self conscious about my hair. I have started on the second can, about 2 weeks in. I do not notice any abnormal growth of hair on anywhere other than where i have applied the foam. If any, it is not noticeable to me. I have diligently applied the foam to problem areas once a day since i purchased this and will continue to do so. Will come back to update again when i’ve finished the second can.Original : Progress is slow but it works. My problem area is the front (hairline), where it has thinned down quite a bit over the last year possibly due to age/hormones (I presumed since i am at that age). Been using this a month and i see a ton of new growth and can feel more volume. Very promising compared to so many other products that i have tried over longer periods. It seems expensive, But considering my problem area isn’t too big, i use the recommended 1/2 (slightly lesser) cap of foam everyday, its been a month ++ and i’m still on the first can and the can is still fairly weighty. It works out to be cheap in the long run. Very pleased and will continue using this!————————————My Rating System————————————*opinions are my own and based on my own experiences and preferences*1 Star : Extremely poor quality product. Not fit for purpose. Do not recommend.2 Star : Unsatisfactory. Product quality/performance lacking. Purchase only if there is no other choice.3 Stars : Average product, average results. Hair growth
I used regain for the past 2 years. It works really well and you can see results within 2-3 months.Whatever my condition is, even the GP can't tell me why my hair is falling out, lbut regain helped it stop the fall and generated new hair growth. My only issue is, which may be something to do with my body, not the product itself, is that if I stop using it, after a few months (up to 6 months) my hair starts falling again.I'm still giving 5 stars as it does for me whatever it meant to do. I had no reactions to it , no side effects or anything. The smell is pleasant. One bottle also lasts long.I can only highly recommend it!

Worth a try
I am including the following detail which may be helpful.I was advised to use this by a dermatologist. It consists of a white foam containing Minoxidil, a chemical proven to promote hair growth and reduce hair loss for a majority of users , by stimulating the scalp. After four weeks it is too early for me to say if it works, which I shall confirm, giving it up to 6 months to show results. Application is not very pleasant since one has to part the hair to reveal bald areas of the scalp on which to massage the foam. Some inevitably gets on the hair which can make the strands look greasy. With practice, I am finding it easier to use once a day as prescribed.I was advised to use Regaine for women although the instructions counsel against doing so if one has raised blood pressure and is over 65. To avoid any risk of the foam getting into the bloodstream, I use gloves to apply it. Also, I have read that the reason it is not recommended for people over 65 is the lack of clinical tests on older people. The cans are small enough to go through the airport security system, displayed in a plastic bag. I was worried about putting a can in my hold luggage in case it got too cold. So, I bought some at the Heathrow Boots after going through security and put in in my cabin luggage. To return, I put it in a plastic bag with the receipt to "prove" it had been OK before. The staff singled it out for attention, but let it through. Apparently it is important to have continuity in usage, so I did not want to miss a fortnight.Packs are some £15 cheaper if bought on line, and I trust they are bona fide and of the same quality as shop purchases.

No skin irritation
When I tell you that I’m happy to have found this, I really mean it. I was using Kirkland’s but it upset my skin so bad and then I discovered that the minoxidil foam has no propylene glycol (not sure about the spelling). Since using this product, my skin has not been irritated and I am noticing several new sprouts of hair. Also, it does not leave such a terrible white cast as the other minoxidil products I used in the past. The white cast residue is so thin it is hardly noticeable. It’s only been a month since i started it.

Different Packaging
Has anyone received a white and blue bottle rather than the usual silver and blue? I've been using my new batch since beginning of December 24 and my hair seems to be thinning again after 2 years of using the silver and blue bottle with no issues and great results. Just wondering if anyone else experienced a similar issue.

Returned
I can’t really comment as the first thing I read on label was it’s not for over 65! Just when I started to need it! However absolutely no problem with returns which is always nice to know.

Minoxidil - 1, Rosemary Oil - Nil
As the Regaine leaflet says, it WILL take at least three months to notice any difference, so don't give up too soon as it really, really works. And it's not just wishful thinking on my part, either. In the last few weeks, since passing that 3 month barrier, friends have spontaneously started to comment on how much better my hair is looking without knowing what I've been doing to achieve it. Interestingly and unexpectedly, as someone who had distinctly greying hair a short while ago, the new growth has also appeared in my original shade, so my hair looks younger as well as fuller! Didn't see THAT one coming!! Set aside the rosemary oil - for ladies in the perimenopause it doesn't work - and reach for the minoxidil instead.
