I'm petite & the small fits well: snug, hits mid-to-hi on the hips, the velcro belt is wide & comfortable & allows for individual fit w/out overlapping the weights even on small hips. I use it to help maintain bone density on my daily walks. Don't run in it, but did jump up & down to review for runners-it is snug enough to keep the weights from flopping around even tho, I repeat, I am small, & expect most will find it more snug than me for this purpose. No weight on the chest/heart, weight very well distributed (shoulders, back, hips). Extra weights fit well into the pockets (which are secured via an overlapping top) & can be spaced for even weight distribution as you add weights (8 lbs. max). Fits well under jacket in cold weather, in hot weather plan to put a short- or sleeveless breathable layer underneath. So far, it breathes & haven't felt sweaty in it. Can buy just the vest from seller the day it's needed. I'm going to treat mine well, wash in cold water with mild detergent, hang or lay flat to dry. I hesitated b/c it's pricey, but it's well thought out & designed, works really well, and looks great! I love this vest and glad I stepped up and bought it.

Love the ability to add a half pound at a time. And the design of the weights makes them super flexible -- thus comfortable. Has improved my posture. I use it for daily walks and, after six months, am starting to use the vest for my biweekly circuits at the gym. Just ordered my additional four pound set and am looking forward to adding more weight soon.

Fully functional, comfortable, slimming and supportive of lower back. Excellent quality and easy to add or remove weights as desired.

I have researched most other weighted vests for women and this is the best. So many pockets distributed all over shoulders, upper and lower back, and Velcro strap. Weights are flu I keep rectangles and easy to add more when you want. Additional weights can be purchased. Only problem is a terrible zipper. It does not catch well and you need two hands or a helper, usually, to get it zipped. I spend too much time fighting the zipper. Otherwise, the perfect weighted vest. Looks great, too.

While I very much like the looks of this vest and the fact that you can adjust the amount of weight, it didn't measure up to my expectations. When I put on the vest it looked like the photos, but as I moved it began riding up in front due to the weights in back and nothing to hold the lightweight fabric down in front. I wore the vest for exercise walking, and even in colder weather the synthetic fabric and snug fit caused me to sweat. I never even put the full 4 pounds of weights in the vest, but it felt heavier than harness-style 4 lb. vest I tried (and weighed to be sure). IMO this vest needs a few technical design tweaks for it to be perfect.

This weight vest is so comfortable and well made. Perfect the add additional weight for walking, dancing, jumping rope; and body weight training.

Ioriginally ordered the small, but a little too small. I like the fit of the medium very comfortable and true to size. But not enough weights. Where can I order 12-14 more lbs?
