Q: How many hours would you say it would take to put this kit together?

I have put 7 months into building this model. It is beautiful---but it is a task that you need a certain mental stamina to accomplish. To say this can be built in 40 hours is absurd. I have put 40 hours in a WEEK into this. The instructions are not clear. There needs to be many more detailed photos and diagrams to explain exactly how things fit together. I have been a model ship builder my entire life and I thought this would be a snap. Wrong. In model ship instructions, you can clearly see how pieces are meant to fit. These photos in the instruction booklet do not help nearly as much as they should. This quickly devolved from a work of joy for my granddaughters to a labor and drudgery. However, as I said, the finished doll house is beautiful, complete with furnishings, floor coverings etc.

Q: I have this same exact doll house it's pretty incredible.over time i guess the glue used dried up and a few pieces are missing.can i buy extra pieces?

I might have shingles, I do not know without looking if they would work for this model,, most craft/hobby stores carry parts for doll houses. I do not. I lost my store due to covid so I am just selling off my inventory. This is the last doll house I have.

Q: Does the dollhouse have stairs that connect to all the floors like in a normal house? And doors that open to every room?

Yes. You have to put them together but they do connect all floors.I don't remember if the original doors open (I replaced doors, windows and staircase through miniatures.com)
