New toaster
The 4 slice toaster looks lovely in my kitchen , it makes really nice toast . I've put medium & thick sliced bread & it's OK with both . Not tried teacakes or crumpets yet . I have noticed if bread is long it doesn't get brown at top so I just turn it upside down n put it back in for a bit longer Easy to use , the sides get warm but I would recommend it .

Smart and easy to use
It's a smart toaster, with something of a retro look about it; more robust than most, reflecting the higher price.

Stylish Toaster That Works Well – Once You Get Used to It!
I bought this Russell Hobbs toaster after my daughter nearly burnt the house down making beans on toast by leaving bread unattended under the grill. That was the last straw—so a proper toaster it was! Luckily, this one looks great, has a lovely textured finish, and does the job well once you figure out its quirks. The 4-slice setup is useful, but you have to lower the left side first before the right-hand slots will engage—took a bit of rearranging to get it positioned so it felt intuitive. The browning levels take some fine-tuning—small adjustments make a big difference—but once you get it right, it toasts evenly. It does take a little longer than expected, but the high lift feature is great for retrieving smaller slices. No warming rack, though, which would have been a nice extra.Pros:✅ Stylish design – Looks great in the kitchen.✅ Toasts evenly – Once the settings are adjusted.✅ High lift function – Helps retrieve crumpets, tea cakes, and smaller slices.✅ Defrost mode is useful – Even if defrosted bread isn’t my thing!Cons:❌ Takes a little longer to toast – Not the fastest toaster out there.❌ Needs adjusting – Small tweaks to the browning settings can make a big difference.❌ No warming rack – Would have been a handy addition.❌ Quirky slot mechanism – Left side must be lowered first for the right side to work.Final Thoughts:Once you get used to the quirky slot mechanism and fine-tune the settings, this is a solid, stylish toaster that does its job well. It’s not the fastest, but the high lift feature and defrost mode are handy.Would I recommend it? Yes—just be prepared to tweak the settings to find your perfect toast level!

4slice toaster
Happy with this toaster. Wide enough to put thick bread or a bagel. Would recommend. Thank you

Good toaster although slightly inconsistent
Good toaster, looks and feels well made. Toasts quite well but you sometimes need to turn your toast half way through toasting just to get even cooking. Wouldn't give it 5 stars anyway even if this wasn't an issue as the slots are quite small and quite a few standard size supermarket loaves don't fit in the slots properly.

Even toasting, looks nice, feels cheap.
Just about fits a slice of toastie bread, rotated. Toasts beautifully, very even, very controllable. Can only use left side if only toasting two slices, can only use right side when toasting four slices, and is tied to a single set of controls, not independent. Looks good on the counter, but feels cheap, especially the levers and handles.
