CATTLEMAN'S CUTOld Fashioned Smoked Sausages, 12 Ounce

Came fresh, no mold or other concerns. The texture is nice, kind of chewy, but I don't mind, and I enjoy the smoky flavor!

These sausages are the best commercial smokies I've ever had.They used just enough pepper to do it's job instead of overpowering everything.You get a very nice smokey flavor that tastes like it was actually smoked in a pit instead of sprayed with liquid smoke.0 aftertaste of any kind, the cleanest taste.A lot less fat content than other brands, which I like.The moisture level is perfect, it's not dry or crumbly nor is it dripping greaseThe texture is superb.The only negetive I have to say is that each pack comes with 2 sausages. Each sausage is 4 1/2" - 5" long. There are 6 packs. That makes each sausage costing over 4 dollars each. Definately not something I would buy regularly, but def. will when I need to pair something with some good cheese.

My brother doesn't have as high an opinion of these, at least in part because he wants to wolf them down, which is not the intention. These aren't slim jims etc with too much moisture, salt, and artificial flavors or crap filler.These actually are Cattleman style... where you want to make a little, last a long time (kind of like biltong and other types of jerky, in the great outdoors, popular in places like Africa and Australia.). You're supposed to eat them slow, savor them, and suck the flavor out.They're "too dry" in my brother's opinion, but that's by design. Less moisture means they keep better, and won't get moldy as quickly when you're keeping them in a saddlebag or backpack or are out in variable (e.g., wet, humid) weather conditions.(Multiple times, I've had major mainstream brand stuff arrive already moldy, nowhere close to expiration and straight from the warehouses. But I've never had that kind of quality issue with Cattleman's Cut.)

Fair prices for a quality meat stick that has less preservatives in it than other sticks or jerky. It requires refrigeration for longer storage of opened packages because of this, though they never last more than a couple days in my house. They never make it to the fidge. Its not a greasy mess like other, well know brands and is actually real food. By far, tastier too!

Good taste. Sealed package. A bit spicy. But caused me to use the toilet frequently afterwards.

I love these sausage sticks, can't leave them alone.

The size of the beef sticks is just right. There is no moldiness inside the bag of beef sticks at all. The texture of the product is very soft and tender. The taste of the beef sticks is excellent. The appearance of the product is very good.
