I bought this because I was tired of carrying around bulky power banks, and it’s honestly one of my favorite little gadgets now. The magnet snaps right onto my iPhone and actually stays put, even when I’m walking around. It’s slim enough to slide into a small crossbody bag, which is a huge plus for me. And was great while I was in NYC for this reason! It doesn’t fully charge my phone from 0 to 100, but it gets me through a busy day of work, errands, and scrolling without stressing about finding an outlet. I also love that it has a little kickstand built in — perfect for watching videos while it charges. If you rely on your phone as much as I do, this is a lifesaver. Definitely worth having as an everyday backup.

Nice and compact, perfect for travel. the 622 instantly magnetically connects to the back of my phone and starts charging. Battery life is good, but not sure how many charges I can get out of it. Very easy to use and very happy with the purchase.

I bought this charger specifically for an upcoming trip and was excited to use it because I love Anker products and always buy their charger wires etc. When I first opened it, I noticed that the design was very sleek and matte— it’s lightweight, the magnets are strong, and it just looked really cute. It has a nice matte feel to it BUT it does charge slow and get a little hot, which is to be expected. The stand is nice but the angle of it is weird so i’d rather lean my phone up against something.

UPDATE Sep 25, 2025 - ok. Here’s the latest. Used the charger during a power outage the other day and hooked up the iPhone, didn’t use the phone just left it to charge. It did not seem to heat up much other than the normal temps expected from charging. It took the phone to 50% in a fairly decent time, and the power bank was stable, only using a minimal amount of juice. I think the reason for overheating and backtrack as mentioned in my previous update in August, was the constant usage and also because my iPhone was processing (indexing) an iOS update. So, bottom line with this latest update, I am ok with the Anker power bank. It’s small and effective, I recommend if powering up your device, let it charge without much activity on the phone until it gets to a good power level. I took it to half on the phone battery then plugged it into an Apple charger for the remainder to 100% when the power came on to the house. UPDATE August 22, 2025 - I don’t use this that often maybe about twice a year, but today I needed a charge on the go so I slapped it on the back (the power bank had a full charge) and the charge on the iPhone went from 2% to 8% (slowly) then back down to 7%, 6% and it ran the iPhone very warm. Not going to use this again. Seems when things work in reverse it’s time to quit. I really liked it the first few times I used the charger, but for some reason it malfunctioned. Didn’t even use it much, this Anker charger was for emergencies. Very sad. FIRST REVIEW - Just got this MagSafe charger today and before I took it into action with my iPhone 13, I gave the Anker a full charge. ‘Snapped’ on the iPhone that was already at 78 percent and it’s been a couple hours with it showing only 82 percent. But, this is not a “power charge” mechanism. It’s for emergencies when you need to keep your device alive. While charging the Anker, I monitored the heat factor and it wasn’t at all anything to be concerned about. Stayed at a very mild temp. When charging my iPhone the two devices stayed at a comfortable temperature, letting off some warmth but not anything to sweat over by any means. Bordering warm/cool. I’m now looking at the charge status on the iPhone and it has stopped charging at 82 percent. My iPhone Settings in Battery Health are set to “Optimized Battery Charging”, meaning in order to protect the phone’s battery, once the charge reaches 80 percent, it will be sufficient to use for the usual activity. I could turn this setting off on my iPhone 13, but prefer to conserve the phone’s battery life since I plan to keep it for a few years. This is a ‘trickle’ charge but in an emergency when you need a ‘fix’, it is definitely worth having handy. All in all I really like this totable MagSafe battery charger. When I need a charge on the go it’s there in a snap.

This batttery does the job, when your electronics need a charge, and you're out and about, or at home. It has a Magsafe magnet in the back, so it will hold tight to your phone, while charging your phone. You could use the USB port to charge your Apple Watch, at the same time! The 5,000 mAh is the perfect weight, big enough to do the job, but not too heavy.

I use this product with an iPhone 13 Pro Max and a silicon MagSafe case (not Apple brand). Pros: The battery does its job well. It locks onto my phone case securely, and it does not fall off. The charge is quick. I get about a 60% battery charge when my phone is dead. It is small enough to easily store in a bet bag, purse, or carry-on bag. The color is aesthetically pleasing, and the battery is made out of high quality materials that are easy to clean. The kick stand on the back of the battery has been very useful when I’m either in my office or teaching. Cons: The battery is easy to damage. It does not come with a protective bag, case, or cover for storage, and it’s difficult to find one that fits the product. I had to purchase one separately. The battery takes a few hours to fully charge for the next use, and it heats up quickly once it’s connected to an iPhone. It can’t be stored inside of a closed area such as a purse or a bag while it is in use, or the iPhone and the battery will overheat. That being said, the battery doesn’t take long to cool down once it is removed from use. The convenience of a MagSafe battery is worth $40, but the product needs some improvements before I would buy a second one. Update: The seller (Anker) reached out to me via an Amazon message to offer a full refund on this battery because of my 3/5 start review above. They also asked if I would be willing to give the brand another chance. I was open to giving the brand another chance because sometimes electronics simply do not work as they’re supposed to, and it’s nobody’s fault. This is an inherent limitation to any engineered product. I replied that I would be willing to accept another battery instead of a refund in an attempt to support the brand since they were kind enough to reach out. This, however, is where the positive experience ends. My response to their question was sent to a second Anker representative who picked apart my initial 3/5 star review above. They reduced the offer to a 50% refund and asked me to return this battery. This would put me out of $25 and the battery, which does not make sense seeing as I did not request a refund or a return for this purchase. This was an uncomfortable experience, so I’m not sure if I will purchase or review Anker products again.

Used this product when I went overseas. Works amazing and charges my phone a decent amount, I've got the iPhone 15 Pro and it charges roughly 40-65% of my battery depending on how much I use it. I knew beforehand that it wouldn't charge my phone fully as it is one of the newer models and the battery itself compacity. However if you do charge it using the wire it did charge a lot quicker and the battery of my iPhone more charged roughly 50-85% depending on my usage. Overall the design of the product is perfect when I was travelling as all I had to do was chuck it on the back of my phone and not have to worry about any wires, and even comes handy as just a normal phone stand which I use at either work or at home just sitting at my desk. I have it constantly in my bag and because of the light weight you cant even notice! It is super handy to have and I highly recommend it for its sleek design and performance.
