It works brilliantly!
I needed bookends that would keep my books neatly arranged on my desk in such a way that I could easily pull one book out whenever I needed it. It's a great way of keeping the books from toppling over one another. Unlike most gaudy ornamental bookends, these simple black ones are not just efficient but also minimal. They don't take up any space yet do their job perfectly. I'm delighted to have them.
