I have an 11 inch Lodge Cast Iron skillet and this fits perfectly. I was a little worried the ridges would not be deep enough on the lid, but it works so well! The quality is very durable and the handle is flat so it even allows you to store it upside down! The glass is clear so you can see when things need to be stirred/flipped! This is exactly what I was looking for. For the longest time I have been using the lid from my stainless steel cookware set on my cast iron and T-fal pans, even if it didn't fit anywhere close to properly. Finally, I just had enough of poorly fitting lids sliding into the pan or sliding off the pan altogether, so I started looking for a lid that would fit a few different sizes of pan. I considered getting one with a stainless rim but just didn't like the look and eventually decided on this one, and I am really glad that I did. It fits my T-fal non-stick pan very well and fits my various sizes of cast-iron skillets perfectly, and that is what was really important to me. My cast-iron pans are very old, over 75 years, and they were not that particular about being precise in their sizing back then I guess. But this pan fits them as good as I could possibly have imagined. I enclosed pics of my T-fal titanium pro skillet and one of my old cast iron skillets to show how the cover fits. Both are ten-inch pans. It also fits my stainless steel stock pot and other stainless casserole pots, so it will become my main lid unless I have multiple pots going at once. Now I will need to get the smaller size to cover my smaller skillets and sauce pots because for whatever reason, the lids from my set of stainless pots just do not fit my other skillets or pots and either fit inside the rim or outside the edge and slide off. This lid in a smaller size will solve that problem once and for all. For anyone worrying about the silicon retaining odours or tastes, you have nothing to worry about. The first thing I cooked under this lid was salmon and the lid retained no odour at all and was very easy to clean, requiring little more than a wipe with a soapy sponge to wipe off the bit of oil that had splattered up. I have other silicon tools in my kitchen which have lasted years without any problems and expect this to give me just as reliable service. The handle on the lid is also made of silicon, or it is silicon coated, and has a nice surface which is easy to grip and will not slip and slide out of your hand. If you are looking for this kind of lid, I can't recommend it highly enough. It fits my needs perfectly and maybe it will fit yours as well.

I purchased this lid for use with a nonstick 8 inch skillet. I wanted something that would not scratch the coating along the rim of the skillet. This lid is perfect. It arrived nicely boxed. The handle has to be attached to the lid with a screw, but this took only a minute with a Philips screwdriver. The silicone rim around the glass is uniquely designed to fit securely to a skillet of either 7, 8, or 9 inch diameter. It fits my skillet perfectly, making what becomes essentially an airtight seal. The small hole in the glass allows steam to escape which helps prevent condensation from building up. I was afraid this would interfere with making over easy eggs without having to flip them, but it was not a problem. The lid cleans up easily. I find silicone cleans a lot easier if you wash it right away rather than waiting to wash it later. The only negative, as others have pointed out, is the glass quickly fogs up during cooking which prevents you from monitoring the food as it cooks without lifting the lid. Since you would have to do this anyway with any other lid, especially a metal one, I really don’t see it as a big deal. If you need a lid for a skillet in the advertised size range, this one is a great choice. I like it so well I may buy one of the larger ones offered to use with a bigger skillet.
