Purchased to sharpen the pruning blade for a vintage Craftsman pole saw, the blade of which is no longer available. Worked as intended. Honestly, it really didn't take long with the blade clamped in a vice. File is inexpensive and shaped to fit between teeth. Depending on your blade, you may also want to consider a tool to re-set the teeth. Good value.

I bought this too sharpen a Short Cut Saw, they have very aggressive tooth design and this file also works well with tree limb blades, a similar tooth shape. This file is quite sharp, single cut and very aggressive file design, how hard or the quality of the metal, only time will determine

I used this to sharpen a bone cutting saw and it definitely sharpened it as sharp as my brand new wood saw. It is a bit difficult to get the angle right to sharpen each side of every tooth but it definitely worked.
