Game-Changer for Real Conversations Across Languages
I recently picked up the new W4 earbuds with the updated Babel AI, and they completely transformed my travel experience in Colombia. We had a personal driver who spoke very little English, and my Spanish is just as limited. We could get by with basic phrases, but it always felt like there was a wall between us. Handing a phone back and forth for translations worked in a pinch, but it wasn’t personal — and it kept our conversations short and surface-level. The moment we switched to Simu mode on the W4 earbuds, everything changed. Suddenly, we could talk naturally without breaking eye contact or passing a device around. I watched his personality come alive — we shared stories, laughed, and connected on a much deeper level. It turned a simple driver-passenger interaction into a genuine friendship. Yes, there’s a slight delay and the translation isn’t 100% perfect every time, but the accuracy is impressive, especially with Colombian dialects and local slang. Even he was surprised at how accurate. For one-on-one conversations, these earbuds are simply outstanding. They don’t just translate words — they open doors to real human connection. Highly recommend for travelers, expats, or anyone who wants to go beyond “hello” and “thank you” in another language. *Update - I got the chance to test the noise isolation tech these at a later date in a noisy outdoor cafe (other people talking and music). Unlike other translators on the market, the new Bone-Voiceprint sensors work surprisingly well. Despite the external noises, the earbuds did not turn start translation until you actually speak, blocking out unwanted noise and speech. This is huge as my previous earbuds would start translating even when I didn't say a word. This dual pickup between the bone conduction and noise canceling mic is a game-changer. In addition, the context-aware AI with Babel 2.0 also cleans up what you actually said vs what you meant to say so if you fumble your words, it does a decent job of auto-correcting. I'd buy these again in a heartbeat.

Great translation device and a much needed refresh over past versions
I have owned past models and the new W4 has much improved detection and translation performance. The AI translation is faster and better at determining context clues to produce better quality, compared to the previous versions I have used. The earbud design is also more comfortable than in-ear models and has a sleek shape that is very modern-looking. The only drawbacks are the lack of language support in offline mode - you're limited to a number of most common languages which seems like an artificial limitation in this day and age. It would also be great to see more real-time translation performance improvements because there is still a bit of a delay between speaking and translation, which in some contexts is no better than common translation apps. If you're in the target market and demographic for this kind of device though, you will be well served by this product. It enables more complete conversation in users' native languages, which breaks down communication barriers in a lot of contexts.

Translation very accurate, but laggy. Buds also don't stay in ear.
The translation is quite lagging. The buds do pick up voices well, even when there is a lot of background noise. The buds themselves, though do not stay in your ear well at all. Yet fell out a number of times. Also, the inability to translate media on the same device is just a BS way of getting you to sirens more money for the pro version. The bud caring case and charger is also very bulky and awkward on the way it splits into 2 pieces. Not sure why they wanted to change the design of earbuds and charging cases outside of unoriginal the ability to hear both the user and the other party well. Seems like this could be done well without the earbuds falling out of year ears every couple of minutes, especially if you're moving around. Otherwise, I did find the translation to be very accurate. I used then for tourism. I can speak and understand a good bit if mandarin, but because I was touring and I don't know a lot of historical terminology, I decided to get these buds to be able to understand tour guides better, rather than paying an English tour guide in China. They were good for that, for sure.

Great product! Works well
Timekettle products are by far the best products I have found. My girlfriend is Brazilian and does not speak English yet and I am still learning Portuguese. We have both the W4 Pro and the W4. The W4 with bone conduction works great in noisy environments like clubs and restaurants and the W4 Pro has better range when we are home and walking around the house. It’s great having two sets so we can charge one and use one at all times.

UNCOMFORTABLE AND FALL OUT IN LESS THAN 1 SECOND!!!
these do not fit ears!!! not sure who's ears these fit, but they are way to big. I am a man and I know they won't fit any woman!!! It's impossible, unless you have ears canals that are the size of a middle finger! I had tried to get them to fit for over 20 minutes, and I had 2 other people try to put them in my ears. Nobody could get them in and stay. simply speaking and they'd fall out! moving or taking a step and good luck because you're probably gonna lose them! finally the over the hear holders killed my ears after 10 mins. My ears were throbbing. I tried to get them more comfortable but the over the ear just made them too tight...and the one on one feature needs you to put the ear piece on the other person so then you have to kill their ear. How they even have 4 or 5 stars blows me away. Yes they translate. Quicker than google. I've used with my family who speaks Vietnamese and they say it's about 80-85% correct. definitely quick translation but not any where near 90% accuracy. Love the magnetic box and the way it holds them and the design and the app that records and transcribes, those work great(when it picks up the voice correctly. I tried for one hour with family before traveling to Vietnam but they're so uncomfortable I won't even have a chance to check out battery life. Returning them now!

Good improvement, but needs improved
The form factor is a great improvement over the W4 Pro. Sound quality is good and translation with Timekettle app works well, although it could improve how on various Spanish dialects and understanding common phrases and slang. Disappointed that these translation headphones do not support voice call translation

Simply Amazing
If you are looking for a top tier multi functional translation device these earbuds are a must have. They function as regular Bluetooth earbuds and also translates a variety of languages. I must say they are comfy in the ears at first I thought they would fall out but they didn’t they stayed in surprisingly secure. Easy to set up and start your bilingual conversation in seconds. Give one ear bud to the person you’re talking to and you wear the other one select your languages and the translation begins once someone starts talking. It makes conversation easy, seamless and very natural. I travel abroad often I can’t Imagine what I would do without these. While I am trying to learn Spanish it’s a long process and these help immensely. I use them at work also with customers and co-workers it makes a world of difference being able to bridge the language gap so easily. Does it get everything right all of the time probably not nothing is perfect but with a very high accuracy rate and constant updates this is pretty close. I was also able to finally watch this documentary in Spanish and understand it completely with the listen and play feature whatever audio your phone or TV is playing will be picked up and translated into your desired language. Definitely a game changer. If anybody is on the fence and you're undecided take the plunge you’ll be happy you did. These will be with me every time I travel or I just want to listen to some music or a podcast or watch something in another language. These truly are an all in one device.

Multi-day lecture = multi-day stroke
I decided to try these translation headphones for a 3 day work meeting in Chile. I tried every combination of Spanish dialects both online and offline. The headphones struggled to fully translate a sentence correctly. Really felt like I was having a stroke trying to listen. I thought the Spanish would be the easiest to translate.. I’m visiting Pakistan shortly and won’t even bother to try these over there. It really was a struggle to put small pieces of the lectures together and try to make any sense of the presentations. Probably better off looking at hand gestures. 2 stars because the packaging was nice but for $300…. I’d like it to work better.
