It is a shame. the actual product appears well built and looks good, feels solid. HOWEVER the tiny screws that are used in the center, are such low quality they either break or thread in the middle... I ended up buying a set of decent tiny screws with " next side up head " on them and then these plugs were perfect.my feedback to the MANUFACTURER - use higher quality screws with the next side up head on them ..... if need be, make the metal piece in the middle a little wider and use much higher quality of screws - you are then on to a winning product ... you could add a screw hole and screw for the OUTER cable too, this would make this product 100% PERFECT as soldering would NOT be needed and that makes life a lot easier.

They make the build of custom length interconnects very easy, they are somewhat inconsistent on the negative connection size, some fit snug and some don't but that's easy to fix, for the price they are really good.

i’m using 14 awg gear it wire to connect these RCA plugs. i just hooked them up but as of now it is an improvement from using 22 awg like used in most RCA cables that come with the amp wiring kits. the first picture shows how i spliced the wire. the second picture shows how i am connecting the wires to the plugs. the third picture shows the positive being screwed in the plug. (one problem i kept reading when looking at the reviews was that the screw was too loose or the screw didn’t work. so far i haven’t had any problems with any of my screws. actually the first 2 rca plugs i hooked up i didn’t need a screw for how thick the wire i was using but i did trust screwing them in more). fourth picture is just the heat shrink i applied to the positive wire. fifth picture is heat shrink i applied to the positive and negative around the connection, after i put the heat shrink i also applied harness tape for extra security. the sixth picture is the rca casing being screwed on and i applied heat shrink again for extra stability

Decent, and seems to be designed okay. But the overall quality is lower than expected. Returned.

Worked extremely well easy to work with

These RCA plugs utilize the original design from the 1930s, in that the ground connection is a 'collapsed 4-leaf clover' arrangement. Many RCA plugs are now being made with a continuous 'sleeve' ground connection that does not make dependable contact. My particular application involves very low impedances that demand low resistance, wiping connections. These connectors fill the bill perfectly.The Amazon description is a bit vague, interchanging the divergent concepts of 'solder' vs. 'solderless' employment. Thankfully these can be used either way, but for trouble-free interconnects, a soldered connection is always the best practice, and these plugs can be soldered quite easily without deforming the plastic insulator that supports the 'hot' terminal of the plug.What's more, these plugs "feel good." They're heavy, not flimsy like some others, and inspire confidence. I hope Amazon continues to make these available; they are a particularly good value.

I ran a continuity test with my multitester and found that some of the plugs do NOT conduct electricity. The material of which they are made, or the plating, is non-conductive, even after scraping the metal. Evidently no quality control exists at the factory. These should not be sold.

They are cheap compared to other RCA connectors. Are there better connector sure. Anything better at the price point, no. The manufacturing tolerances are not the tightest. But using these with a hacked-up amazon basics instrument cable makes for some really nice interconnect cables. If the price was higher, they would be a 4.

If you're just doing something simple at home, these should do the job. I would avoid these for anything else. They feel and look cheap. The screw for the tip cable was stuck in 50% of mine, probably best to get rid and just solder the cable on. Plastic cover was stuck in the outer piece. Got it out with a screwdriver.

4 connectors out of 20 worked intermittently. That 20% and i find that unacceptable. Better and cheaper connectors on Ali Express. Only it takes longer to get them. For reference, i build cables for over 10 years.Service also poor: I contacted the vendor, no reply.
