Translations cant give u the perfect sentiment which a writer wants to portrait
Translations cant give u the perfect sentiment which a writer wants to portrait.. Especially when ur reading something written by gulzar.. If u read his works in hindi or urdu, u wd b able to imagine every deep meaning of his every line.. This book has somehow managed to give u that "typically gulzar" feel.. U need to read the poems with that extra passion for poetry, or else it wd b just like any other ordinary poem, bt i wont say its a waste of time.. Bt if u relli wanna read the real "him" go for a hindi version..Cheers..

Excellent
I have always been a fan of Gulzar . I become short of words, when it comes to praise his work. The book is brilliant and a must have.

This is Gulzar Saab. How can you omit Hindi poetry and write English translation only? Publisher: Please add the original poems and publish the same. In the meantime I will dump this in the dustbin

Good book but, it would have been better if it included the original poems too!
