Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curling Gel Souffle, 12 Ounce

I love this gel! It's perfect for my long curly hair, without all the harsh chemicals found in other brands. My hair feels much healthier, with less hairloss when combing. Product feels sticky on your hands, but not on your hair. Has a light fresh scent that is not overpowering. Durable to hold curls on windy days as well. I will definitely continue using this product

Although this product is pricier on Amazon than at Target, sometimes it's out of stock in the stores, so Amazon is my back-up. This product is wonderfully effective. I use it on my 4 year old daughters very thick, tightly curled hair. I coat her hair in this soufflé, which is more like a cross between oil and gel--works great on wet hair and seals the curl, protecting the cuticle from frizziness. I live in a very humid and hot climate, so this product is well-tested and holds up in most challenging conditions. The best part is that her hair is soft and shiny--not sticky or hard like other cheaper products.

If you’re looking for a gel to add shine and moisture to your curls then this is the one, but if you’re looking for strong hold and definition, then not so much. I have 3c/4a curls and the soufflé made them really soft and shiny. There was a bit of a sticky feeling to some curls, but that’s only if you use too much. I was able to get good definition by using my Denman brush and applying the coconut curl and hibiscus smoothie before the gel.It smells pretty good, but it has a weird texture. It almost feels like tiny bits of sugar are in the gel and it’s runny. So, I read the ingredients and one of them just so happens to be cane sugar..interesting. But this product doesnt have a jelly like consistency, not like eco styler gel at least. It’s not the best, but it works for me and you should give it a try!

I recently went back to my natural roots and was proud to wear my TWA in public but wondered about this wash and go phenomenon. Decided to try this product out with the Lottabody leave in and let me tell you....I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!! I have tried other curling creams with my twists and my scalp is like HELL NO!! Since I've started using this souffle my scalp hasn't not flaked, has not itched and my hair is ohhhh so soft!!! This will DEFINITELY be a staple in my natural hair journey!

I've used this product for quite some time. But the consistency has changed from a smooth, more liquid-like texture to a jello-like texture. It is now very difficult to use as it does not blend well, sits on top of my hair like jello, and leaves a residue. To make things worse, necause of the new consistency, you drop more on your clothes or the floor than you actually get on your hair. So, you waste more than you use. Whatever they did, they have ruined this product. I ordered 3 jars, have thrown one away and the 2nd one is just as bad. I would love a refund as this is a huge disappointment. I never leave bad reviews but this is now so bad that I have to find another product. I think I will abandon Shea Moisture. Plenty pf.oyjet options that are worth my money and are as effective, if not more so. DO NOT BUY!!!!

I have fine 2B/C wavy hair and decided to give this a try. I'm try to use natural products on my hair since I had an allergic reaction to a different product in June. I lost about 1/3 of my hair because of it. Anyway, I have lose curly/wavy hair and I've been looking for something to give my curls hold that lasts through-out the day. The product I use in the summer just isn't moisturizing enough for the cold New England weather. The jar of gel I got was more like a harder jello then gel - but after looking it up on their website, its ok and not uncommon for the product to do that. It should still work fine in the firmer state. I can't tell yet if I like this product or not. There's a fine line of using too little and using too much. The smell is light and fades away, the gel doesn't irritate my scalp or cause flakes. If I use too much, it gets a little crunchy, but I just scrunch that out, my hair is SHINY but it doesn't hold the curl. If I use too little, there's no crunch but its still shiny. So far, I feel like this is a light hold product that can help with moisture and shine and can be a great product once you figure out the best way to apply it.

I have thin, curly, frizzy hair and was looking for a product that could hold up the moisture in my hair but also leave my curls a little open, since I don’t have that much hair and I need to ad volume to my curls and this product worked wonders on me! This is the 2nd time I buy it al will keep doing it.
