Great product which can be used domestically in addition to being a litter picker.
I got this to use in a domestic situation and not for what it was designed for.I'm partially disabled due to some spinal fractures but I just muddle on through life and try to ignore it. However last week the groin strain I've been nursing turned into a hernia and so it became obvious some aids were needed to help around the house. When I first typed in 'pick up grabber' and saw the results, I had the familiar feeling of disgust at the way products that help with disability issues are frequently over priced. In this case not only did many look expensive but the delivery times (I'm a Prime member) seemed longer than usual with very few available on a next day delivery. I have no idea why this should be but it just added to the feeling of being exploited.Anyway, as usual, I studied many of the products in detail and read all the reviews before deciding what to order. I chose the best of the ones available next day using a balance of value and likely quality as the deciding factor and then a second one where quality and performance were the deciding factors irrespective of price. I chose this one which had a 2 day delivery. So yesterday the first one arrived and it looked OK ..... at first. I started to use it and after a while I realised that it was heavier than the two I have had in the past. Not only that though, it just was not precise when picking stuff up and worst of all, the trigger mechanism was stiff to operate and after a few minutes it became quite a strain. Two things I should mention is that I am not particularly strong and also it was only just a bit heavier and stiffer but this small difference really had a pronounced effect after a minute of use. It is not fair on this review to name which model it was but I can sum up my feelings by saying it was discount store quality at double the price and also didn't work well. It is going back. It's now the following day and Amazon has just been with a few parcels - exciting :). The wireless video doorbell got opened first but then it was this Streetmaster. Even before I got it fully out of the box I saw the slim aluminium shaft and my spirits lifted. When I finally got it out, it felt so light and then the coup de grâce, I pulled the trigger and it had such a precise lightweight action. So far it's performance has been easily as good as any others I have used but it is too early to say it is significantly better. I was pleased to see the claim that it's finger tip precision could pick up a single hair in the enclosed instructions.True it has not got some of the features of a grabber dedicated for use by people with limited movement such as a magnet and shoe horn but I personally don't care. If I feel it could do with a magnet I will get one of those amazing new neodymium magnets and stick it on with some Gorilla glue and I have already got a shoehorn - an amazing 3 foot long one made of stainless steel which I got on here for a very reasonable price. (Anyone, regardless of age or ability, that is lazy enough to have struggled pushing their feet into a shoe without undoing it's laces first should get one - it's fantastic !)This has been a rambling old review, so sorry for that but I hope it has not distracted from the message that I really wanted to get over which is twofold;1. It is useful as an aid when picking up or moving all sorts of things in a domestic situation and would suit people who have physical challenges.2. It might seem expensive compared to some others but you get pay for and this has such outstandingly good performance whilst still being lightweight that it is money well spent in my opinion. It is one of those rare household products that is a joy to use.

Exactly what I was looking for. Comfortable in use and well done.

Depends on the use,
I used these as litter pickers and after a few months the cable snapped. Probably ok around the home for light tuff, no god for moderately heavy stuff

Use these for picking fruit off trees
Got two and also supplied a few to friends, varying use from litter to fruit picking off trees. Well made and sturdy.

Easy to use and effective
Slightly flimsy but is very effective at litter picking. Could be slightly longer but easy to manage and use and will pick multiple items easily. So far so good

Very easy to use, amazing dexterity
This is a fun litter picker to use, it has amazing touch and I enjoy the challenge of picking up small items I might struggle to use my fingers on. At the same time, it is very sturdy despite being lightweight and no problem handling some of the larger items that are left lying around. No longer do I feel helpless looking at piles of litter edging closer to the small river or blowing in the back alley. I return with the litter picker and it's gone in in a few good minutes, allowing more weeks of walking pleasure. Its great to be able to choose the environment I live in.

Great Hitter less Litter
Arrived well packaged and perfectly intact, only used twice so far for litter-picking around our residential site, follow the instructions and be aware of its limitations and it works perfectly well on all types of litter including Paper/Plastic Trays and bottles/ HDP Plastic/ and even Glass bottles if handled carefully. Just the job for anyone who has the task or volunteers for litter-picking.

Good product, dreadful packaging
Have used these pickers before, they are well made and robust enough for repeated use. So well recommended. But the packaging? OMG! I ordered 10 of these for my local litter picking group. Six of them arrived INDIVIDUALLY wrapped and addressed, with the other four in a much-larger-than-required outer box (60% fresh air). Worse still, three of the individually sent pickers were each contained in massive outer cardboard boxes (each 4' x 2' x 6" i.e. 90% fresh air). I was left with a massive amount of packaging to dispose of. Kind of ironic given the environmental nature of this product?
