NEED THE PROTECTION
Hurt finger on left hand trimming hedge in front of house. Deep wound, so ordered the super protective gloves that are used by those who handle chain saws. They feel protective and strong and left glove has super strong material so I know any future use of hedge trimmef, my left hand ( and fingers ) will come out unscathed. maybe overdoing it a little, but better safe than sorry and cut on left finger scared the beegezes out of me.

Hand protection
These gloves have an extra thick layer of protection on the left hand. In the event of a kickback this could save your hand from being seriously injured. Prior to buying these gloves I was wearing regular leather gloves. The leather on my regular work gloves was thick and made it difficult to do do some operations with the saw. These gloves have a thin leather palm which improves feel. My hands are large and the gloves fit really well and are easy to take on and off.

Nice thick glove, but not the most comfortable
It's nice to know that I have a little extra protection with these gloves. They fit and stay in place better than regular work gloves, but the way the palm/knuckles are reinforced causes the glove to dig into my hand during use. I'm undecided if I like these better or not since I spend more time trying to keep my hand comfortable than paying attention to what I'm cutting.

Quality materials.
The gloves are significantly oversized and oddly shaped which creates an unusable fit for my hands, but the protection area on the back of the left glove is huge And all the materials are quality. I believe I have average shaped size 9 hands, and own many pairs of different kinds of gloves And have never had a fit issue like I do with these.

Great for rose cutting too!
Since I bought these for my husband & told him they are cut proof (left hand) for chainsaw protection, he decided to try using them for cutting down a 6' knockout rose in front of a tankless water heater a repairman had to get to. They worked like a charm! No thorns could penetrate! He was so shocked. These, combined with a pair of chainsaw sleeves & he said he could not feel a single thing poking him. We have tried so many different pairs of gloves & these work even better than rose gloves that I use. I'm going to have to order me a small pair!

Yet Another Quality Oregon Item !
I hope I never have to find out whether or not these gloves will protect my hands from an accident with the chain bar. Proper saw handling techniques keep me safe but accidents can happen. So I choose to ''gear up'' with all of my tree-cutting PPE prior to starting the saw. They are orange so I won't lose them in a pile of brush. They are durable. They are hot on the hands but otherwise quite comfortable while handling the saw. If you can find them for under $18 then you are getting a good deal. Enjoy!

Better hope the chain doesn't hit your fingers!
I have used other brands of chain saw gloves in the past where the protective layer on the back of the left hand extends out over the fingers. On these gloves it does NOT. There is a square patch over the back of the hand but that's it. In addition, the protective layer is rather stiff and doesn't seem to conform well to the hand. Otherwise they do seem well constructed. I can't offer any opinion on their durability, time will tell.

Very sturdy, unique top padding on left hand
These are a great pair of gloves. I'd recommend breaking them in well before using them with a saw though. The knit is nice because it prevent wood chips from getting inside the glove. I have a lot of shop gloves, and these are harder to lose with the bright color. ;)

Excellent general work/gardening gloves, and very good value.
Been using these for several months (not chainsawing) and can’t fault them. They make excellent general purpose gardening and heavy duty work gloves, they’re hard wearing, comfortable, fairly supple, quite thornproof and good value. If they do get stiff you can rub olive oil in to make them supple again.I’m 6’ man, habd width 95mm and find medium comfortably snug and they improve with use as they mould to your hand shape.Large is also a good fit but I slightly prefer the medium.I like the elastic cuffs which keep the gloves in place.Negatives — can’t think of any! Maybe a version with longer lower arm protection from thorns/nettles as an option would be good but thats not a criticism.

Good quality gloves
They are light and supple. I ordered XL as I usually find it hard to get gloves to fit, however, they come up larger than other makes with the left hand seeming a size bigger than the right. I have yet to use them, but seem good quality brand.

Good gardening gloves.
I’ve been wearing these for several months for general gardening and outdoor jobs and can’t fault them.If you want fairly heavy duty work gloves that are comfortable, hard wearing and fuss free then buy these. The elasticated cuffs ensure they don’t slip off like some others do and the orange colour makes finding them easy when you’ve left them in the garden 😅 They are tough enough to handle brambles etc.Large size should fit averagely large man’s hands. If the leather palms go stiff after use or after washing them you can soften them up with olive oil (it’s a hack)

Excellent product and excellent value.
I use these with chainsaw and brush cutter - great for protection, as you can grab and pull briors and such things out of your way without getting through the gloves. These are quite large fitting.

Take care with sizing
I've only used these briefly so far but they seem well made and they comfortable. I've dropped to 4 star because of the sizing - it's pretty important to me when buying working gloves that they fit well. I used the guide, measured the width and length of my hand and ordered my gloves... they're too big! Bearing in mind they're leather and will stretch with use I can see it'll not be long before I pass these to someone with bigger hands and will buy myself a smaller size.Measure and drop a size...
