WV2 Fog Proof Shower Mirror for Best Shaving and Make-Up Removal

After five years of daily use I just recently replaced this mirror with a new one. The old one broke off at the base. But after five years of use, I thought that I had got my moneys worth.It's easy to install, just unscrew your shower head and put the mirror attachment onto the pipe, then put the shower head back on. The head will now be about two inches lower then it was before. As a nice added touch, plumbers tape, to put on the threads, is included.It does what it says it will; it is totally fog proof. Yes, as some of the other reviewers say, it is cheap. Hey, it's only $20 bucks, but it works. It has been an indispensable part of my morning routine, as there is no sink in my bathroom. I have to shave in the shower.It's true that the mirror is heavy and will sag, but in my case, it sits well above me and it's not a problem, plus, if you twist the arm, bending it into an S shape,it will tighten up and stay in place.There was a comment that the water that goes through the mirror is wasted water. In some respects that is true, and being as I am from California that is something to consider. Looking at how it works, the water that goes through the mirror is being taken from the water stream that would have gone on you, so at the end of the shower, you are using no more water than you would have without the mirror in place.One added note about saving water; the mirror attachment allows you to cut the main shower head flow in half. So when I shave or soap up, I turn that little lever, and I am using much less water than before, and it's much easier then shutting off and all ​the water. All in all, doing it this way you save water.

I've been using this device for about 15 years. It's easy to install and works exactly as described. With normal wear and tear, the plastic eventually cracks somewhere, typical at the valve or at the distal end of jointed tube, and so has to be replaced. Each of these has lasted me about 5 years. I consider that acceptable for an item this inexpensive. You could buy the very expensive one from the same maker, but it would have to last 20+ years to get the same value as just replacing this cheap version from time to time.

Shaving in the shower is something I've been doing for many years, and I think it's the only way to go. You can stand up straight and really get your face wet and soapy.For many years, I have used a very cheap suction cup fog free mirror. I'm sure I've used mirrors costing less than $10, that have lasted for years.I have always wanted one of these mirrors with the circulating water. Now, my current apartment has a shower stall where the surface is not compatible with a suction cup, so I bought this one.The product works pretty much as advertised, however, I have two criticisms:1) The plastic piping is very weak. It doesn't support the mirror in the exact position I want, but, it's workable. I wonder how long it will last before it leaks, comes apart, or becomes even weaker and I have to adjust to it, rather than it adjusting to me.2) It needs a LOT of water to be fog-free. I really don't like wasting water, and this bothers me. The water that circulates through the mirror just spits out the bottom, and is wasted.

The product does its main purpose quite well. I have yet to have any issues with the mirror fogging up. However, the main valve on the mirror really restricts flow to the showerhead. For me, this was a big issue so I actually removed the valve (w/ dremel tool) and now have unrestricted flow and the fogless mirror. So if you don't mind doing a little work on the product prior to use, this mirror will work fine.

Don't buy this. The plastic feels very cheep, it doesn't hold in a usable position, leaks water where it connects to the shower head in just one week of use, and the mirror is so small I can't even see my face. To top it off, it's not fog proof and water droplets cover the mirror so much so that you won't be able to see anything. Water droplets collect on the mirror more so than others because it's located directly under the shower head. I tried spaying Rain•X on the mirror and it helped but ultimately i will be spending more time and money finding a functional shave mirror.

I bought this product for my boyfriend. He wanted a fogless mirror to shave with in the shower. I read lots of different reviews and picked this one based on its good reviews. I think my boyfriend is very happy with it. It does not fog up, and he comes out of the shower with a great shave all the time.I think the only small issues with it are that you do need to turn it on before you turn the shower on to allow waterflow to the mirror. Make sure you turn it off once you turn the shower off if you are not going to use it again. You cannot turn it on and off while the shower is running because of all of the waterpressure. Although I haven't noticed a difference in waterpressure when the mirror is recieving waterflow.Also its not that long. My boyfriend is very tall and with the mirror attached to the top of the shower head, the "shaft" of the mirror is not very long. I am not tall enough and unfortunately I cannot use the mirror. Something to consider if you are a shorter person when purchasing this product, or if your showerhead is set higher in your shower.
