Love these!
I bought these to play magnetic chess with my students. Don't buy the magnetic chess game. These are a much better value for your money. You can easily grab a string and make your own boundaries. Honestly, we just used a piece of notebook paper for the board. It was the perfect size.

Fun magnets for a game!
These are perfect magnets for the magnet game. We have gotten these as gifts for others and have some in the car in case we need a quick game for entertainment. They're fun, they are all around the same size, the quality is good, and they function perfectly for the game we use them for. The kids love them and have fun using them for other things, too. They'd be great for magnetic surfaces, too. Very easy to use and store, they look pretty with the different colors. I would recommend these. (My kids are 10+ years old, I would not recommend use for small children as these are smaller magnets.)

Great for DIY Magnetic Chess
At just under half inch, these are the perfect size for our DIY magnetic chess. They feel and look great. They are very strong. This purchase was for 500g which turned out to be 90 pieces. Plenty for our chess games between 2 and 5 players using various size rings or strings. Oddly enough they sound great too. Love the travel storage case.

Great Toy for the Price, Just Small Pieces
I picked these up for my 6- and 8-year-old kids, and they absolutely enjoyed them. The magnets are colorful, smooth, and surprisingly strong for their size. This was just a fun toy I thought they’d enjoy playing with, and it didn’t disappoint. They jumped right in, building towers, chains, and even trying to wrap them around their wrists or ankles to make magnetic bracelets. The magnets actually held together pretty well for that, right up until one of them dropped the bracelet and pieces went flying in every direction. The set came in a fiber-style zippered case and included a soft velvet drawstring bag, which was a nice touch for keeping things organized, at least at the beginning. I didn’t count the magnets when we first opened the kit, but after a couple of weeks of play I weighed the 69 we still had, and they came in at 378 grams. That averages out to about 5.5 grams per magnet. Another reviewer mentioned their kit had 82 pieces, while the main product photo seems to show closer to 84. Either way, it’s probably best to count them right out of the box before any go missing, because once they start disappearing, it’s hard to keep track. The price I paid was around 17 bucks, which I thought was pretty fair. I had seen nearly identical magnetic stones in that same purple rainbow finish selling for a lot more, but those were slightly larger in size. This set was definitely the smaller version, but considering the price difference, I didn’t feel too bad about it. At roughly 20 cents per piece, each lost magnet is kind of like tossing a quarter under the couch. Not a huge loss, but it adds up. Each magnet is about 0.5 cm by 1 cm, small but easy for little hands to handle. If the original count was somewhere in the low 80s, we’ve somehow already lost 13 or 14 of them. With hardwood floors in our house, any time one gets dropped, it bounces and spins across the room before disappearing under furniture. If you’re buying these for kids, I’d strongly recommend keeping them at a table or in one contained area. They’re fun to play with, but you’ll definitely be scouting for lost pieces within a few days. Even with a few drawbacks, these magnets have been a hit. They’re satisfying to build with, easy to handle, and just engaging enough to keep my kids busy in a screen-free way. I’d absolutely buy them again and may have to refill soon if I don’t stop the spillage :)
