Q: do the instructions and videos come in English?

The instructions do not come with the machine at all. There are no videos either. Also I never received my shipping and that cost me $41.00 dollars to send it back. I am looking for Amazon to refund me. I will say this was a bad deal all around.

Q: can i use this to make a throw blanket?

The width of this machine itself is 29 inch. Therefore the width of blanket would be quite short while you can get length as much as you wish.

Q: is this machine about the same as the lk-150?

Yes, it is a knitting machine like the LK-150.
