So I purchased this after reading that it may help stop cold sores in it's tracks if caught early enough in the tingling period. I've suffered pretty badly with the Herpes virus for years, and the majority of creams and lotions don't really do anything apart from numb the pain. When I had heard about this device, I was excited to give it a try. It is a small black, rounded edge device which is easy to hold and use. It comes with 2 x batteries in the box and an instruction manual. It has a little switch on the side for the power and the light, then a round button on the front. You put the device directly onto the area then click the round button once for a 3 second heat zap (sensitive skin), or twice for a 6 second heat zap. It gets quite hot but nothing completely unbearable for me. I then cleaned it and put it away. What do you know, it stopped it in it's tracks! The tingling was instantly stopped and I was just left with a slightly red area where the heat had been applied. I went about my normal day and when I woke up the next morning, there was no sign of it even there! This is a fantastic value device and I'm thrilled to have finally found something that works! Make sure that you invest in some antibacterial wipes to keep it clean and sanitised. Update: A good few months down the line and I still haven't had a full-blown cold sore! This really is a miracle device for me!

This product works amazingly well. I bought it for my wife for a trip to Turkey as she always has problems with the mozzies. I am so glad I did as it was my turn to be the main course. This device took the itch out of a dozen nasty bites. The machines outputs an uncomheat on the skin but it doesn't burn or hurt. The affect on the bite is immediate and the itching stops instantly. You may have to use it a few times a day but it's worth it. Tip; if you use the devise as soon as you realise you've been bitten, then you won't have to repeatedly use it as much. This would gave got 5 stars (I'd give it 10) if the build quality was better. Very light weight and flimsy. Take care when changing the battery as mine fell apart.

Having tried alsorts of bite remedies in the past we bought this little gadget before going on holiday & so glad we did as we had plenty of opportunities to use it. This is the best thing we have ever used - it actually works!! You notice a bite, pop it on, repeat treatment if necessary and itch immediately gone! It does sting a little but really isn’t that bad, even on the 6 second setting. Our teen kids were a bit sceptical initially and were worried about it potentially being too painful but after overcoming that first go and realising how effective it is, they use it just as much as us if they have any insect bites. We have noticed it needs to be used immediately to be most effective- I had a bite at night & couldn’t be bothered to get the device. Treated it the next morning and was not as effective as the other bites that I treated straight away. It won’t stop the bite from “being there” but it certainly eliminates any itch or discomfort. Husband had a nasty bite that turned into a blister. He had treated this bite before it went to the blister stage and felt no itch or discomfort whatsoever. I’d had one of these blister bites before we got the gadget and had been in absolute agony with it! I can see a reviewer mistook a bite blister to be a burn - this gadget does not get hot enough to cause a burn. Some bites however will cause skin blistering. We love this gadget and wouldn’t be without it! Have recommended to friends who love it just as much as us! Best thing we’ve ever had against bites. Totally Amazing. So impressed. Two weeks in Spain and even though my family and I were armed with mosquito repellent, Imgonito and Jungle formula, which we used religiously we still received bites. My wife really suffers as the days after she received the bite they spread som enlarging to over a five centimeter circumference. They become quite painful and irritate her lie mad. Not this year this device stopped the irration and any pain/soreness and the worse bite she received only spread to a few millimetres in size. I need to mention using the devise, especially on more sensitive parts like the inside of your arm, it stings whilst treating. But as it is only for three of six seconds and stops immediately the device times out, it is well worth it for the hours of not wanting to scratch my skin to the bone. The nastier bites and bites in areas that usually are more irritable. For,the nastier bites we did use the device once a day over two or three days. We also found not only did it stop the bites bothering us, they did clear up much faster. For my wife a bite usually is still visable a month after receipt. Using the device they were no longer visable after six to eight days. I was so impressed I purchased a load more and sent them to my mother, brother, sister and imlaws, for their impending holidays.

Wow bought this out of desperation, so glad I did. I fell asleep in my garden chair woke up and had been bitten all over by mosquitoes, by next morning I had over 300 bites and my skin was unbelievably itchy. I covered myself in calamine lotion didn’t even touch it, came on here and found this product, I can’t recommend this product enough I went from itching hell to calm skin in half a day.. I found the 6 seconds was enough for most bites, but some did require the full 12 seconds and only a few times did I have to zap a few of them again. A word of warning, bare through the burning sensation, it is well worth it.

J’étais un peu sceptique à l’achat, mais je ne regrette pas. Dès qu’on sens la piqûre d’insecte, ou qu’une piqûre précédente vous démange, appliquer le produit sur la peau et vous sentirez le soulagement immédiat de ce petit appareil. J’ai l’habitude de faire des réactions allergiques au piqûre de moustique, et la, plus rien. Plus d’urticaire, plus de grosse bosses, le pied !

I was skeptical at first because all the sources on the biological action involved for the relief effects were commercial or commercial-sponsored sources. But I thought I'd give it a go and have been really pleased with the benefit. As a person who is prone to scratching itches from insect bites, this device has made a real difference in bringing comfort and practically eliminating my need to scratch. The light could be better as it doesn't much help with identifying the spot you're bitten. I think this leaves room for a better design but I'd rather have the light than not at all.
