Effortless install - part fit and fixed my problem!
I recently replaced the vapor canister purge valve in my 2003 Buick LeSabre with the ACDelco Professional version, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Not only was the installation a breeze, but the performance of this component has been outstanding. The installation process was refreshingly straightforward; I had it done in no time with basic tools. A big shout-out to ACDelco for providing clear instructions that even a DIY novice like me could follow without any hiccups.Since installing this purge valve, my car's performance has noticeably improved. I've experienced smoother idling, better fuel efficiency, and a decrease in emissions-related issues. This part is clearly built to last, and it's reassuring to know that I've installed a high-quality, reliable component in my vehicle.ACDelco's reputation for quality and durability is upheld with this vapor canister purge valve. If you own a Buick LeSabre and are in need of a replacement, I wholeheartedly recommend the ACDelco Professional Vapor Canister Purge Valve. It's a cost-effective solution that delivers on its promises and ensures your vehicle runs at its best. Five stars all the way!

Fairly Easy To Replace, Works Fine
Installed on a 2005 Buick LaSabre. It's on top of the engine, just underneath the beauty cover. YouTube has a couple of videos showing how to replace. Took about a half hour, but I work slowly.

right part for the job
This part was exactly the right fit. It was really hard to get to. I have a 4x4 model trailblazer. I was able to access it from the fender well on the driver side. I also found it made it easier to remove the send line to the throttle body so i could give slack on the hose to manipulate the solenoid enough to remove the clamps. Also, I installed it to find out the prongs inside the plug were bent. I had to do the job twice so I could remove the part again and straiten them. SMH!!! besides that it fit like a charm and was OEM all the way.

Fixed my P0442 code
It actually fixed my problem!!! I had a P0442 code on my truck forever, after trying a ton of things, this, paired with the vent valve fixed my problem. But I'm 99% sure it was this that was wrong. I noticed my truck would idle super rough which was weird because I changed my plugs, coils, air filter, fuel filter, synthetic oil, new gas caps, everything. But jeez it runs so damn smooth now, I almost went to change my motor mounts because of how it was. I also noticed that sometimes my engine would get flooded with fuel and wouldn't start. Which makes sense because this guy sends fuel vapors into the engine to burn off, and it was sending in too many which caused it not to start. Holy crap, I'm so happy it fixed my problem. Now, the installation. What you'll need is a 10mm socket and a 1/4 or 3/8 ratchet, I'd recommend the 1/4. And a flashlight. It's just 3 connections and a bolt.In the pic, I drew a red arrow which is the front of the vehicle, this is located on the side of the engine on the driver's side, under the intake, bolted on the engine with a 10mm bolt. First thing, take off the battery cable, you seriously do NOT want sparks near this guy. You'll see A, B, and C those are the 3 connections for this. A connection is a clip in which theres a tiny tab that you need to rotate 180° and then you can pull out the connection. Really simple. B is a pigtail connector, just gently lift the tab and wiggle out, easy. C connection was a bit confusing, I had to squeeze the sides of it and then pull it off. Think of the connector like a clock with 4 sides, 12, 3, 6 and 9. You have to squeeze 3 and 9 or 12 and 6 then pull it off. And then you have the 10mm bolt, I'd use a 1/4 ratchet without an extension, it's easier to maneuver. I tackled this from above. I was literally sitting on top of my engine close to the battery and then just stuck my arm around and took it out.All in all, its actually not hard at all, you can do it :) just be patient and get comfortable. This was done on a 2004 GMC Envoy 4.2l I6

OE Quality, Amazon price
Perfect! Check engine light went away after I installed the valve. PLEASE, remember to DISCONNECT the battery and WAIT at least one minute to erase old error codes.

First one failed within 2 months
I own a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT with a GM 3800 Series 2 N/A. Back in December it was giving me a P1441 code for the purge valve being stuck so naturally I replaced the factory one with this. Well, not long after I started experiencing worsening conditions. The car would randomly stall 5-10 minutes after starting after it had sat overnight. Every time I filled up the gas tank, the car wouldn't start and to add injury to insult it would backfire and cause the tube that goes into the throttle body to pop out. Two days ago it shredded that tube. Finally had enough of playing part-shotgun with this car, so I decided to double check on this valve with a vacuum gun and sure enough, it wouldn't hold a vacuum. Even worse, sometimes it would, sometimes it would slightly hold a vacuum and other times you could blow through this a straw. Absolute junk. Replaced it with a new one and everything seems to work okay. We'll see how long this lasts but Dorman has now sold me two faulty items out of the box (the other being a crankshaft position sensor).Do yourself a favor and get an AC Delco. Then you at least know it's up to GM quality.
