These are excellent
April 19 ... So far wear looks good waterproof breathable a good size look coolish. Using them all the time. March 20 update .... Follow up worn these walking dog for 11 months most days rain or shine, they are super comfortable and supportive and look good enough. They breathe and are waterproof. I walk a lot and after 11 months they are looking worse for wear and are starting to leak; the sole near the big toe is starting to come apart, plastic suede is cracking a little, one of the pull laces broke, insides have not fallen apart, the soles look fairly worn but still overall one of the best pairs of shoes I have owned so have bought another pair exactly the same. AHHHH SECOND PAIR ARE SMALLER THAN THE FIRST JUST ENOUGH TO MAKE ME THINK THEY WOULD STRETCH IN, BUT THEY ARE 1/3 SIZE SMALLER THAN THE LAST PAIR AND UNCOMFORTABLE. Adidas HOW COMPLEX IS IT TO MAKE SURE YOUR MANUFACTURERS PRODUCE SHOES WITH CONSISTENT SIZES !! WASTED £80.

Third Pair of Terrex
This is my third purchase of a pair of Adidas Terrex Swift Gore Tex shoes. First pair is around five years old and still going strong although very worn. I also have a pair of Terrix boots. This pair was purchased to replace the five year old shoes.I'm not a fan of Adidas shoes as I don't think they're consistent with the width of their trainers range so I usually go for Nike or Asics in trainers however, 30 years ago I purchased a pair of Adidas Gore Tex walking boots and I fell in love with them. They were perfect for hill walking so much so that I even blacked them up with boot polish and wore them on military field exercises whilst serving in the Army. Those boots finally gave up after 20 years of use! Yes, 20 years! So I gave Adidas another go with walking boots when I spotted the Terrex range fve years ago and again never looked back. These boots are comfortable. I usually take a size 9 and a half but go up one size for walking boots so I can comfortably wear thicker socks. These boots also have a new type of sole, a Continental rubber outsole and having walked around the garden today wearing them, this sole is very very comfortable walking on! And of course the shoe incorporates Gore Tex into the shoe lining, so keeps my toes dry and keeps the rain out. They also have the Adidas speed laces which are a great innovation and perfect for 'tying my laces' within seconds.Of course with any walking shoe/boot you need to walk them in first so don't purchase on a Friday and wear them on a Saturday to walk up Ben Nevis. That would be just silly and the blisters you'd get would be horrific!Very worthy purchase and well worth the money.

Great Shoe
I have a pair of Solomon GTX with speed laces and I've literally wore them out. The toe area of the sole is slicker than a F1 tyre.Having read reviews on purchasing another pair of Solomons, i decided they were too expensive and the quality seems to have gone downhill.SO, i decided to go for the Adidas version being the Terex Swift. On inspection, they are quite stiff and probably a half size smaller than my usual size 8.I'm wearing them in the house to hopefully help them fit. They don't seem to have got much more comfortable yet, but i've probably only wore them about 6 hours.Time will tell , but fingers crossed, these shoes will do the walking.**Edit**After having these about 4 months, they’re still quite stiff and the width hasn’t got any better. My feet feel compressed when wearing these for 2 hours +.If I was to buy again, I’d go a half size bigger and wear thick socks. They are a decent quality, but just too narrow and the sole is very stiff.Edit 3 nearly a year old and still stiff. Not as comfortable as my previous Solomon or North face, the soles are just sooooo stiff. If the soles were softer, they would be brilliant.Won’t buy these again.

Very good purchase
After a month of almost daily use walking my dog in parks, roads and forests I am very happy with the product. they are very sturdy and i feel very confident wearing them regardless of the terrain. i have tried them on some really steep slopes in the forests near me and they stood up to the test every time.- They were stiff when i first bough them, after a couple of weeks they opening up.- Have had no issues with the quick release laces yet but it wear them quite loose so i can slip them on easily - this does mean you do get stones in the shoe though when on gravel routes.- They look a lot nicer then most outdoors trainers on the market, even my wife likes them :)- 100% waterproof- Doesn't give you any ankle supportArrived sooner then expected - I was very happy bunny.Worth the money? Yes, 100%!

Sticks like slugs
Great shoes and a really good price. Have been looking for some trainers/walking shoes for a while and boringly enough I already have the walking boots version of this, so wasn't keen at first to have both the same. However, the boots are the best I have had - very well made and amazingly lightweight. These shoes are, not surprisingly, the same. However, their greatest advantage over competing products is the sole. It's one of the very few deep-lugged walking soles designed to grip on mud that will also grip on wet surfaces, whether rain, ice or snow. Salomon's Contragip is notoriously poor, you'll struggle on wet tarmac, while even Vibram isn't great. But these really do stick like that famous grab adhesive; I've walked across submerged rocks in an icy fast flowing river. Waterproofing is fine too, though of course Gore Tex linings won't last forever in footwear.
