Brand new in box New Nintendo 2DS XL
I have been collecting Nintendo handheld’s for a very long time basically since they started coming out long time ago with the original game boy the Nintendo ds lite the game boy micro the Nintendo 3ds and 3ds XL’s I was fortunate enough to purchase the new Nintendo 2DS XL yellow Pikachu back when they were released in 2017 but stupidly passed up on the black/turquoise with Mario cart 7 version when the prices were much cheaper but I wanted to add this one to my collection and since they are getting more scarce and very hard to find brand new in the box I decided to pull the trigger and buy one now since I didn’t want to wait any longer mine was shipped very fast and was brand new in the box in perfect condition I charged it up and everything is working perfectly I purchased from seller DOWELL (S/N Recorded) they also were the cheapest price compared to the other sellers on Amazon with free shipping and I am very happy with my purchase the seller is very honest and trustworthy shipping was Fed EX with tracking and thank you to Amazon also so I could add this system to my collection I will admit that my New Nintendo 3ds Xl does have a better looking screen since it is an IPS screen when compared to my 2ds xl that has the TN screen when there side by side the 3ds XL definitely looks more better with colors being more vivid and the 3ds XL is made better since the 2ds does feel more fragile and not near as well made as my 3ds XL but I really like the look and feel of the new 2ds Xl the sound is definitely better on my 3ds xl compared to my 2ds Xl but when it came out it was cheaper then the 3ds xl by 50 dollars but I am very happy with my purchase.

It is good quality
It is fun it is comfortable to hold and works good and is a good console there’s a 5% chance the top screen is Broken but very unlikely but could happen but didn’t happen to me you should buy it if you’re interested in Nintendo.

Great system. Maybe buy a bigger SD card?
So to start of this is an awesome handheld. It has lots of games to play, and the graphics are pretty good. They don’t compare to Xbox 1 or PS4 graphics, or the Switch, but if your not looking for a console with perfect graphics these are pretty good, and are definitely a improvement over the DS graphics.First Impressions:When you first get it, it feels really light, almost too light. I was nervous I was gonna break it. You soon get used to it, but it might feel weird at first. I do wish it came with a manual. I would recommend reading over the manual on the Nintendo website before/during setup. I thought the stencil was missing only to find out it was in the device next to the headphone jack all along. Would have been nice to know BEFORE I set up the entire thing, but you can’t change the past. I like that it comes with Mario Kart 7 so you can play right away. C-stick, ZR and ZL buttons are nice, but I have yet to find a game that uses them, so right now I can really only use them on the home menu. Really like the circle pad and I’m glad they added it on the 3DS and 2DS. After getting used to the weight it feels really nice to hold. Battery life is good (about 3-6 hours, depending on what your doing on it. Orange and white color scheme is really nice. The Games: The device came with Face Raiders, AR Games, and Mario Kart 7. Face Raiders is fun but I can’t really see you playing it unless you have nothing else to do. It’s fun, but all you really do is take pictures of faces and the fight them by shooting balls at them. AR games is fun for a little while but can be frustrating because unless you have every light on in the room it has trouble reading. It’s also hard to stay 14 inches away at all times. Mario Kart is really fun though, and I’ll leave a review on it soon.Mii Maker: If you have ever used a Wii or WiiU, chances are you know what a Mii is. If you don’t, it’s a little cartoonish character that you make to resemble you or a family member or friend. They’re fun to make, and if your like me, you’ll have fun making the most hideous Miis you can (Woman with a beard and eyes that don’t even attach to the face? Check).eShop: As it sounds, the eShop is an online store. You can get retro and indie games that you can’t get anywhere else. I mainly just go in it for the music C;.3DS Camera: It’s fun to use, though the picture/video quality isn’t great. It doesn’t have a lot of the filters the DSi has, which is a little disappointing, but you can still draw all over peoples faces >:).3DS Sound: Again, fun to use, the sound come back really quiet so you really have to put the speaker up to your ear to hear it unless your shouting, but it’s fun to filter different sounds.Activity Log: Since the 3DS doesn’t have Parental Controls for time limits, this might work if you want to see how much your kid is playing (Although if multiple kids use one system, the 3DS registers it as one person because you can’t have have multiple personal Miis).Download Play: You can play games with your friends with only one copy. You can also download DS titles, so it’s entirely possible to play with a DS/DSi user.Badge Arcade: This does NOT come with the 3DS. You have to get it from the eShop. You can find it under Free to Start. I feel like putting it in here since it’s actually really cool: The Badge Arcade is where you collect badges to decorate your home menu. You get them by playing these claw machine games. You can get badges based on all sorts of Nintendo games. I’m making mine look like a Mario course.StreetPass: You can exchange data with 3DS users you pass that have StreetPass enabled.Parental Controls: You can use these to limit what the system can do. Here is what you can restrict:Software Rating: Limits what you child can play via ESRB ratings.Internet Browser: Take away the ability to use the Internet Browser.Nintendo 3DS Shopping Services: Remove the ability to access the eShop and Theme Shop.Miiverse: Miiverse was discontinued, so this setting does not matter.Sharing Images/Audio/Video/Long Text Data: Removes the ability to share any of these things with people who are not friends.Online Interaction: Remove the ability to interact with other players.StreetPass: Remove the ability to use StreetPass.Friend Registration: Remove the ability to register friendsDS Download Play: Remove the ability to download DS titles via Download Play (Note: This does NOT remove the ability to download 3DS titles).Viewing Distributed Videos: Removes the ability to watch videosFinal Thoughts/Tl;DR: Really fun handheld, feels nice when you get used to it. Nice features and the included game is great. I’d recommend getting a bigger SD card if your going to buy more than around 4 games from the eShop. The included stylus wouldn’t stay in so buy some extras (I reviewed some great 3rd party styluses, so if your okay with that kind of stuff you should look into it). You should also buy a case, just in case (pun intended).

Better than expected.
I wanted a 3ds, but I did not want a refurbished one, and the price gouging on ones that are new is rediculous. After doing some research I decided the 3D effect probably would not greatly improve my gameplay experience. So I turned to tue 2ds. Again major price gouging on new ones that have more appealing colors or are not the strange 1 piece design. So I decided out of all the reasinably priced new 2ds xl, this purple unit was less ugly than the others. I sure was not going to pay an extra 100 bucks for a black one ( what I wanted) Ill mever understand Nintendo and their color choices... anuway, I was really suprised. Its not as light purple as it looks in pictures, and when its flipped open you barely even notice the color. So I am very pleased with my choice.I've never been a mario cart fan, but the game is decent. Although I got 100% completion on all difficulty settings in a few hours... So 8f you are looking at a slightly cheaper version of this system, and are not a mario cart fan, I would not buy it for the free game, as it is very short.Hind sight being 20/20 i probably should have gone with a refurbished 3ds. But, this unit arrived quickly and from what I can tell it is brand new, no dead pixels, works great, and a good deal considering what these things still sell for. Im amazed you can now get a Switch for less that a 2ds XL.Truth be told, I bought it for the 2 kingdom hearts games you cant get on any other system, and zelda games.I'm very happy with the system and the seller.
