I usually buy Timex watches, but the Casio is a good watch as well. I like the illuminator feature and it keeps time. It's a good everyday work watch.

Needed a couple of watches for work. These were the ones. Wish they had illuminated dial with a button. I work at night mostly. And forget seeing the day/date unless you have great eyesight! After using these for a year I find the one really tuff thing is, they are hard to set the day and date. Instructions are less than vague. You have to find midnight and toggle back and forth between yesterday and tomorrow to move rapidly through the month and to get the DAY of the week set you must coordinate that sequence so you end up with yesterday on the right day of the month so that at midnight both will turn over to the right day and date. They do not turn over at the same time, which is good while you set the correct date, but is confusing when you go to set the day. The batteries in the two watches, one with a blue band and one with a green band, ran the same time consistently once set but lasted only a year and then both stopped approximately one month apart. The blue band ticking longer than the green band because, I think, I wore the blue more often.

It used to be that these watches were sturdy and if they weren't you could get a refund but I find that that they break easy

For less than twenty bucks, this is a nice watch. Don’t expect a Rolex. Don’t expect a diver’s watch. What you can expect is a nice casual watch that will serve its purpose as long as you don’t bang it around or get it wet. I’ve had it for two days and it is very accurate. Setting is simple. The stem has two positions. First is for the day/date. Turn it forward to set the date. Turn it rearward to set the day. (The days alternate between English and Chinese.) The second position sets the time. The holes in the strap are reinforced. I really like it, then again I’m a “watch nut!” Time will tell how well it holds up. UPDATE: Here it is May of 2024. The watch is still very accurate. No problems.
