An Old-Fashioned Christmas Romance Collection: 9 Stories Celebrate Christmas Traditions and Love from Bygone Years

I love how Christmas is a time of love, hope, and often second chances. It brings out the best in most of us. That is the essence of these wonderful stories by some very talented authors. A wonderful way to spend a December evening. Don't forget the hot chocolate and roaring fire as you enjoy these Christmas morsels.

This collection of short stories was really refreshing. Each in a different setting, each unique, I was instantly drawn in to each one. The refreshing part is two fold. First, the Christian theme is not overwhelmed by a sense of obviousness. The plots and development are deep enough to carry the stories and the underlying faith weaves its way in as would a well developed character. Second, the endings, though satisfying, do not have a hard ending. They allow the reader to picture the rest of the story. These are not cliff hangers or prequels, of firsts in a series, but they don't end in sweaty love scenes, but rather new beginnings and are inspiring.

Review based on PRODUCT QUALITY only. I have not read it yet, but was disappointed when it arrived as it is clearly a reprint and the cover quality is not as nice as the other books along the same lines by Barbour, some I paid a lot less for. So, I'm disappointed in the appearance. The cover looks like a copy was made. The other books are nice and larger and have the uneven edges and inside flaps that summarize each story. This is just a cheap paperback with very small type, but the price was not cheap. :( Is there a way to tell that what you're ordering is a reprint/lesser quality?

Love Christmas stories! Each story has something different to offer. You get so into each story you can't put the book down.

This is an awesome book! Loree Lough is my favorite Author but this novella was wonderful. I would highly recommend it. It's full of past traditional Christmas warmhearted family adventures and beautiful love stories!

Excellent easy read of times when love was real and forever.

I loved this book! It took you back to the days when true love was discovered or "uncovered" as in some cases. I would recommend it for everyone!
