I looked high and low for a large capacity porcelain teapot. I even checked out the venerable but pricey Lomonosov line. Then I stumbled on this jewel at a fraction of the cost and took a chance. Boy was that a good call! With its high-rising spout this teapot holds an honest 1.2 liters, which converts to roughly 42 fl. oz., just what the doctor ordered. It has just enough decorative flair not to be boring, yet not so frilly as to be girly (no offense, ladies, that is a consideration for those of us who are of the male persuasion, and don't have a female in the household to give us cover). This teapot is solidly built but not heavy like rough-hewn ceramic teapots can be. I had been using a smaller one I bought in Japan on R&R from Vietnam in 1972, still going strong, but with only about 70% of the capacity. With this new one I can hydrate sufficiently on just one pot per day. And I expect it will last at least as long as my old teapot has! If you are a tea enthusiast, I don't see how you can do better than this combination of quality, capacity and price!

I was looking for a teapot to help me drink more tea/water and less sugary sodas. I wanted something classic, but not outdated, and this teapot popped up in my search. My goodness, was it beautiful! The appearance sold me, and I fell in love when it arrived in the mail. It was packed remarkably well and was very easy to rinse for the first use. It's very high quality, with foil edging on the flowers that catch the eye every time the lighting shifts. The teapot itself is very sturdy and, if filled more than halfway with water, can become a little heavy. Something this high quality is a bargain for the $26 I paid! My only wish is that there was a place to buy matching teacups. I bought some plain white ones from another vendor, but would have loved something with the same pretty blue flowers as this teapot.

Absolutely as pretty as it looks on here, or prettier, in person. Seems to be well made. The only negative is that the base is flared and is hollow, so it's hard to clean underneath that little lip. Rinse it as SOON as you're done with it so no sediment or tea gets stuck in there. It is also somewhat susceptible to stains. Magic erasers do the trick really quickly though. Definitely worth the purchase!

This was purchased to be used at a bridal shower tea party. It arrived well packaged, in perfect condition. It looks exactly as pictured and was an elegant edition.

Beautiful piece, more beautiful than the picture.

This is a beautiful teapot, however the lid was broken on arrival. When I went to Post Office to collect they asked me if I had bought Xmas decorations as the parcel rattled. I dreaded opening parcel thinking the teapot would all be in pieces but miraculously the teapot was intact and the handle of the lid had broken, falling into the inside of teapot which caused it to rattle. Although the polystyrene had been cut to the outline of teapot, it was quite loose and was moving around which must have caused lid to move and fracture. I am very disappointed as I cannot use for guests.

Parcel was delivered to an address half a mile away. Company could not understand that their photograph was not proof of delivery. They could not or would not check on the delivery site. It took a week before the occupants of the house, who had been on holiday, found the parcel and brought it to us. We were very annoyed at the response from the company. The teapot is very good and we are pleased with it.
