comfortable, good performance, great value
These have a low heel, so I wouldn't use them if I were still competing and had younger knees. But I love them for training, especially as my knees have gotten old and creaky. I've bought 5 pairs of these over the past several years, one for myself and 4 for my kids as they've grown out of old ones. The sole has just a little give (compared to the wooden soles of my competition shoes), but is very stable and has good traction. The shoes are comfortable, supportive, and seem well made. We haven't had to fix anything but worn-out laces in the years we've been using them. They're comfy enough for walking around, so they're not platform-only shoes like my old ones.

Game changer for me
I, personally, have never bought a pair of weightlifting shoes despite 10+ years of lifting experience. I always used running shoes because I never could justify spending the extra money on a pair of shoes I would wear twice a week. I know these shoes aren't the greatest weightlifting shoe available, but they're a huge step up from the wrong footwear. I have found that my form is better and my knees and back are less taxed when I used these shoes for my heavy squats today. I was more able to generate power through my feet into the floor. It's worth noting that these shoes are not comfortable to walk around a lot in and I wouldn't wear them for anything but a workout day. I even used my Hokas for my stair-stepper warm up. That being said, they don't kill my feet and I actually got pretty used to them quickly. Felt nice to have shoes that felt very secure.

Great lifting shoes
These shoes are really comfortable for lifting shoes. I wonder if the sole will last a long time even if I am only walking into and out of the gym with them on, but only time will tell. I bought my regular size.

Purpose Built
One leg day with these and I’m very happy. On sizing, I wear 11.5 to 12 in Nike shoes, and I ordered these in size 12 and they’re just right. The shoes seem well made and are comfortable within the intended purpose. These shoes are designed for weightlifting, specifically squats and various other leg exercises, perhaps Olympic lifts. They are excellent in providing a stable platform. My feet felt like they were glued to the floor, and there is a mild heel rise. The soles are completely flat and very firm. The heel has ZERO CURVE for walking or running. You can walk from your car to the gym, or within the gym, but that’s about it. No way you’re doing any running or cross tracing movements! Within the intended use, these shoes are a very good value and I recommend them.

Good squat shoes
I have a wider foot and these fit slightly too tight around the midfoot but they were a good starting squat shoe for me to help increase my squat depth. I got tired of putting plates under my heels!

Felt like my feet were glued to the platform
My trainer recommended I get squat shoes, so I got these. The first time I squatted in them I couldn't believe how solid and stable I felt. They really do a good job of sticking you to the floor. Of course the downside is you can't do much cardio in them, they're not for running or really even much walking. I change into these after my warmup on leg day.

Long over due purchase
Weight lifting shoes had never been on my radar despite many many years of heavy lifting sessions. They seemed to be unnecessary. This was a mistake. There is a notable difference between these purpose built lifting shoes and say a typical running shoe that you might wear to the gym. The powerlift shoes are incredibly comfortable, provide significant support for my feed and best of all better connection to the floor and machines for heavier lifts. They make me feel much more secure in the gym than in any other shoes that I've used for weight training. Clearly these aren't the best if you want to incorporate the tread mill and other running type exercises into your program and the powerlif lable on the back is a bit cheesy. However, it's hard to believe that I waited so long to buy a pair. Most certainly recommend them for any/all gym rats...

Lifters, buy this shoe
You might be thinking about buying a shoe that is purpose-built for lifting. Your instincts are correct. Serious people need serious shoes for a highly specific activity like lifting. But you might think that a shoe like this is too expensive. This Adidas lifter is worth the price. It is durable, comfortable, and fits very well. I also receive complements on the shoe’s style (I bought the black shoe w/ the white stripes). For a while, I was just like everyone else in the herd and bought the latest gym-rat shoe. Let’s call that shoe brand NotBologna. NotBologna shoes are similarly priced to this product and I purchased several of them. The NotBologna shoes are not durable. The eyelets (of all things) were ringed w/ cheap plastic that broke within days after first use. Of course that meant that the laces began to pull on the actual shoe fabric, tearing the fabric over just a month-and-a-half of daily gym use. For want of an eyelet, the shoe is lost. If you’re thinking about buying NotBologna shoes, don’t fall for their bull. Buy the Adidas lifters instead. Similar price, far superior product.

I ordered true-to-size, and the shoes fit me perfectly, even with thick socks on. I feel very comfortable and secure in them, even when lifting heavy. I haven’t tried squatting yet, but deadlifting was a pleasure. I am not convinced the raised heel does all that much to my technique, but the shoes are stiffer and more secure when lifting than my previous pair, which were more of a general purpose trainers. It is a great purchase, one I should have made long ago. I see people have used them for running (!!!). I have separate running shoes and they are really really different. These are for meant for lifting and are way too stiff, with no cushioning whatsoever, so don’t do that. Your knees will thank you later.
