After reading many, many reviews and looking at so many different salad spinners from those made of ABS Plastic to stainless steel and then the multitude of shapes and different spin mechanisms we picked what we felt was the best quality, most versatile spinner for the price which was hands down the MUELLER Large 5L Salad Spinner. The very first thing that is evident is the German engineering and the overall ease of use. The pull-control is just so smooth and easy to use even for an arthritis sufferer like myself and even as dubious as I was regarding the force required to use the stop or brake button again pleasantly surprised it just required a steady small amount of force. If you used or even read many reviews on other salad spinners you will find so many that a full head of lettuce just doesn’t fit or if you spin fruits or vegetables the basket wobbles or the way that the weight distributes it causes issues with the drive mechanism or so many that you have to baby them so you don’t crack or break the bowl or the difficulty in holding the bowl. Well none of those are a problem the square bowl is easy to handle the square design also affords additional strength and best of all the durable ABS plastic is 100% BPA-Free. The Anti-Wobble Feature again just works and you know how on the units where you press down on a button and you worry about cracking the bowl none of the worry here since you pull a lever to get the basket to spin. A bonus I didn’t notice until using this spinner was you can pour out the liquid without removing the top and the overall size is the biggest I have seen or used and well come now if the five liters isn’t big enough I am not sure what all you are spinning but if you need bigger I guess repurposing your washing machine might be your answer. You really can’t go wrong here and pull to spin well it is the way to gooooo!

I previously had one of those hand crank salad spinners. It was fine for the most part but little plastic pieces kept breaking off and honestly, with that old one, spinning it took some effort. I was specifically looking for something that was easier to spin. Pros: It's a good size spinner and very easy to use. Spinning the basket only requires you pulling the handle a few times. It's honestly pretty effortless. Especially compared to my old one and it spins just as fast. I also like that it's easy to clean with the removal of a screw. Cons: Haven't found any yet but if I do, I'll update this review with it. I"ve only had it a couple weeks but haven't had issues yet.

I shopped for months to purchase the best salad spinner, and believe you me, there is a bunch of good ones on the market, but after contacting several customers that actually owned this Mueller L salad spinner, I pulled the trigger and bought it. It's built super strong, heavy duty in the outer container, the inside red spinner basket is built super flexible and strong, the top lid spinning device is the key to this kitchen product, as ti's so smooth and simple and easy to pull the red handle, spins super fast, leaves all dirty water on the bottom of the clear outer bowl, and your product is spotless and safe to consume. dry easy with no water spots on all parts, has a heavy duty box for shipping and storage, it's failry large, so yes, it does take up a good size space on my SS shelves, but who cares, the Mueller is truly built in Austria, is the finest design and it's final outcome is the best out there. spend the money, buy this Mueller salad spinner, it's the last one you will ever buy, trust me on this fact.

Product: I did some serious research before purchasing this salad spinner when my old OXO one cracked. I loved that this was dishwasher safe, and I actually think the "pull" mechanism is a lot more effective and requires much less effort than the pump. The drain holes in the lid corner mean you don't have to take it apart to dump out the first round of water in order to spin it again, which is super-convenient. I was concerned that this would not be as large as my old extra-large but I do not notice a capacity difference. It takes up much less space to store, given the squared-off shape and flat lid. Performance is great, and the plastic is much sturdier than my old one.Customer service: I had absolutely no problems until just a few weeks after the Amazon return window closed. Somehow between washing in the dishwasher and storing, the bowl/lid became warped and didn't fit nearly together. I reached out via email to the company, explaining the situation and received a response WITHIN AN HOUR reassuring me that this, like all of their products, was fully covered under their lifetime warranty, that this was absolutely a problem that should not have occurred, and that they would immediately replace my item. I provided my mailing address and info and a new sooner was delivered in TWO BUSINESS DAYS. I couldn't be happier with the product or the company's policies and customer service. HIGHLY recommend!

when i used my Mueller salad spinner pro the first time it seemed that the lettuce did not get very dry and this was even more pronounced with the spring greens that i spun, despite using two aggressive spins for each batch and mixing things around a little bit between the spins. I bot this as a replacement for an old, clunky, no name spinner and it seemed to me the old one dried things better. But the next time i used the Mueller, I dried a much smaller batch of iceberg (quarter of a small head) and a much smaller batch of spring greens (large handful) and it seemed to do a pretty good job on each, again with two aggressive spins for each batch. And the Mueller is easy to use and feels very solid and well built. I will just have to spin smaller amounts than what i had gotten used to over the years and i'm keeping the Mueller even tho i was not sure, after my first use. I would recommend this to anyone who washes small quantities at any one time
