I required a capt seat post that is removable. These fill that need. The base is nearly flat when the post and seat are removed. The posts are sold in several heights. Don't expect them to be wobble free. They do allow a bit of seat wobble but it is a fair trade off for the removability.

They handle and locking mechanism are easy to remove. Just break the handle off and use a utility knife to make a couple small cuts in the plastic to remove the mechanism. Now you have the swivel seat with no lock. At least for the front seat. Much better. Otherwise it will automatically lock in front position as you swivel around.

Good seat mount but just a heads up it does have play in it, the play made me decide to not use it for the captains seat but I did use it for the passenger seats
