Carry This Message

This is an amazing book just as the first one was-I wish I had to read it earlier in sobriety, because I feel like I would’ve learned about how to be a good sponsor, as well as what to look for in a sponsor for myself!

I have read this book in the past, I lent it to someone and never got it back, so I wanted it back in my Library

Simple, sound guidance for anyone sponsoring people in recovery, regardless of the sponsors' experience or length of sobriety. It is truly an informative and valuable read.

This is an excellent guide to AA sponsorship. I've used this as a resource with the men I work with, and when they're ready to start sponsoring others, I usually purchase a copy for them. It's clearly written in a casual, conversational style, and it helps you to do just what we're supposed to—keep it simple.

Important reading for early recovery

My boyfriend loves with this book by his side. It has helped numberous people in sobriety to sponsor. Sometimes when it comes to the big book, sponsorship isn't covered in Dept because of when it was written but this one helps alot of others and covers the question of how do I sponsor! We once owned a video of this fantastic film that i inherited from my cousin. I loved it from the first time I watched it, but then it got borrowed and was lost, never to be found again!I can't believe that it hasn't ever been repeated on TV at christmas time, I check the TV guide every year just to see if it will be on, but it never is. We have eventually got a new copy of this film after spending many hours searching for it online and all my friends have now fallen in love with it. Trust me you need this film in your life!

I loved the Joe and Charlie Big Book study tapes. This book is great and is helpful guide for me when sponsoring others. Loved how it keeps to the BB message.

Bought second hand. Smelt awful of stale cigarettes. Stinks! Very yellow pages too.

This is really great it sets it out very somply and very straightforward - how to take someone through 12 step sponsorship and the outline of the program. Debunks myths and rubbish thought about the program - says it like it is "Having had a spiritual awakening as a result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to alcoholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs" put like that BOOM!!!!!
