Petmate Simple Sifting Litter Pan

I’m using this litter pan with FreshStep clumping litter for two cats. When going to empty it, I find it difficult to find the separation between the pan and the strainer but once I do, it’s an easy matter of pouring the litter into the strainer and then dumping the strainer into a bag. The strainer does miss some little bits, but for the most part, it is an easy, clean process.

We have a stray we are trying to teach to live in our garage so when it’s cold she can stay warm. My husband picked this out. It is so nice and easy to use. I recommend it to anyone who wants ease of cleaning the cat box. It’s just the right size too. The color was pretty too. Very well thought out and well made. Very satisfied

Much smaller than realized

Clumped litter clings to the surface on the bottom of the pan in use, so when you empty the dirty pan through the filter, you still have to scrape off the clumps from the pan bottom, which also makes it necessary to wash the dirty pan out before restoring it to service.

This kitty litter pan is so easy to keep clean. The screen is very easy to use and the three parts make it so one pan is always clean to reuse the clean litter.

Concept is a great one, but when you have to clean it out it is always getting fecal matter stuck between the grating. I am not using my digits to loosen it so I typically tap the side, which only does minimal help. Then when pouring the litter to the next tub no matter how gentle, you get a kitty litter dust cloud. I loved it at first since it doesn't take long to 'clean' but it's never really clean and prying apart the two bins that have held that fecal matter is less than a pleasant thought. Even washing hands after every cleaning of this litter box. Good size so I'm going to throw all but 1 bin and get just a hand scooper.

This works great. Can't believe I've been "mining" cat litter for decades with a scoop when this is available. I even use it for the litter boxes I have that are larger. I just pour it in, sift it out, pour it back! Works great. Had to figure out to store the sifter and 2nd tray under the litter filled tray. If you leave the sifter in, makes it hard to get out, being filled with, you know .. Gave it a 3 for scent, cause, scent is, well, scent. It's still there, just easier to get it outta there.

I'm revising my rating because it looked good at first but it does NOT sift out large clumps of cat urine. I chucked it outside today after only a couple weeks use. The clumps of urine sticks to the narrow slits in the bottom and it takes a powerful hosing to clean it off. Then you have to dry it off completely or the litter sticks so you'd need two of the to ensure having one good one all the time. And scraping the cat pee of the bottom of the sifter is tougher than in an ordinary cat pan because of those slits. If I could return it I would. It was a real waste of money.

this litter box is very easy to clean strong I like it very much. Just make sure you change it every few days or it gets harder to clean I only have one cat

the sifting tray is so much quicker than scooping

Te ahorra el estar con la palita rascándole, eso vale mucho. Calidad en materiales, se siente robusto. Es muy útil y práctico!

I use this litter pan with wood stove pellets, the waste falls through and I spend so much less time scooping!
