More like a white sauce – added a cup of soy milk so it would cover the noodles.
I find this delicious, but It tastes more like a white sauce than cheese. I just sprinkle a little pepper on it. As far as there not being enough sauce as mentioned in other reviews; I added a cup of soy milk (my preference) instead of the third of a cup that’s recommended on the package which gave enough sauce to cover the noodles.

Handy and tasty!
I love this! Perfect for vegans, or anyone who loves Mac & Cheese! No guilt about eating most of a box for dinner. I suggest testing before the recommended time, if you like it al dente.

Surprisingly good!
I was looking for a dairy free mac and cheese with the same creamy indulgent taste of dairy. I cook it with plant milk and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This will be my go to brand for mac and cheese. Perfect if you're vegan or have food allergens. Was delivered on time and came well packaged and sealed.

Best vegan alternative to The Blue Box
If you have a nostalgic hankering for that old blue box of pseudo mac and cheese, and you’re avoiding animal products or just dairy in your diet, this is the first thing I’ve found that hits that spot. I have a great recipe for vegan mac and cheese from scratch, but if you were raised on the boxed stuff, sometimes you just want the boxed stuff, you know?I’ve tried other brands, including a brand I read a news article on that “even non-vegans were raving about” ...meh. I don’t even like the shells and “cheese” from this same brand, I think they’re gluten free or something? Or I’ve gotten a bad box... every time I tried them before finding these, because the “cheese sauce” was fine, but the shells are tiny and super dense no matter how I cooked them, and the whole box didn’t fill a single regular bowl, this variety actually gave me boxed mac and cheese volume too. Does this taste as good as from scratch? Obviously not, but I would say it tastes as good as I remember the boxed stuff tasting and it’s convenient and considering how much it makes, it’s not too bad for the price, especially since vegan junk food almost always costs more.(I make it with vegan butter, some of the macaroni water instead of milk, and I add a little mustard just to punch up the flavor a tad.)

Not Cheesy But Still Good
Makes enough for 2 large or 4 small servings. There is very little sauce. I used the instructed amounts of almond milk and buttery spread, and while it did not taste cheesy and could have used more sauce overall, it was still good. Just wouldn't call it mac and cheddar because it doesn't have any cheese flavor at all. I will get this again because I still liked it and may try adding more plant milk (maybe cashew would help) and cheese to create the right amount of sauce and enhance the flavor.
