Cleaner Teeth and Fresher Breath Made Easy!
ProDen PlaqueOff has made a huge difference for my dog’s teeth and breath. Within a few weeks of adding it to her food, I noticed her teeth looking cleaner and her breath smelling much fresher. She doesn’t even notice it’s there, which makes it so easy to use — no wrestling with toothbrushes or special treats. The product is made with natural ingredients, and I love that it supports overall dental health, not just freshening breath. My vet has even commented on how much better her teeth look since we started using it. If you’re looking for a simple, effective way to help prevent plaque and tartar buildup, this is absolutely worth it. It’s now part of my dog’s daily routine, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

Excellent results after only 5 weeks of use…
Our senior mini-dachshund had a bad reaction under anesthesia during her most recent dental cleaning about 8 months ago. Her vet recommended that we no longer subject her to anesthesia unless it is an emergency. That means no more dental cleanings. Six months later she was developing yellow staining and tartar buildup on her teeth again and her breath was horrid. She was uncooperative about allowing me to brush her teeth or manually scrape away tartar. I was skeptical about this product but decided to try it anyway as I don’t want to allow her to develop dental problems. It has only been 5 weeks since I started adding it to her food and the improvement in her teeth and breath is remarkable. Her teeth are once again white with no trace of yellow and the crusty ring of tartar that was beginning to form at the base of her teeth has completely disappeared. She did not react to the powder being in her food and she licks any remaining powder out of the bottom of the bowl when she’s done eating so I guess she likes the taste. She has not experienced any nausea or digestive issues. In our case this product has worked as advertised to clean our dog’s teeth with no negative effects.

Powder works great! The powder takes about 2-3 weeks to see a big difference.

I was skeptical, but am seeing results on cat's gums
My cat has gingivitis on her upper front incisors and some redness around her upper fangs-- some mild to moderate redness all over. She might be missing one of her small front teeth. We booked her in for a dental vet visit, but I was worried that she was in pain, as she was sleeping a lot and licking at her front teeth sometimes. She's only 3 years old but has had red gums ever since we adopted her at 9 mo old. I bought this plaque-off powder wondering if it would actually do anything because some commenters were leaving miraculous reviews like "Plaque is falling off my dog's teeth" which seems truly unbelievable. However I decided to give it a shot. Use as described on the bottle-- the scoop is extremely small and for a cat they only need 1 scoop per day. It can be added to wet or dry food, I have been mixing 1/4 to 1/3 scoop per wet food meal, or sprinkling just a little bit on top of dry food and then sprinkling water on, to help it stick. Although my cat is VERY picky, she didn't reject the flavor of the powder at all (it appears to just be kelp, so smells like furikake or nori) and ate normally. As for results: It takes time to work, so don't be impatient. After about 5 days I began to see a reduction in swelling and redness in her gums-- they had been so inflamed that there were microdroplets of blood along the tooth line, and this reduced dramatically in about a week. The vet agreed she had inflammation and she is scheduled for a full cleaning, but in the meanwhile we are continuing the Plaque off Powder in her food. We have two cats (the other has no tooth issues at all), and because they tend to swap food bowls while eating, we are putting the same amount of powder in each bowl of food so each cat is getting the same dose roughly. Neither has had any stomach issues (which I would suspect would indicate an allergy), or any other intolerance to the powder. The cat with gingivitis has continued to show reduced redness, though her gums are not back to smooth pink yet, they are CLEARLY improved and she is more energetic and happy, which shows the pain is reduced as well. For the price I certainly have to recommend this as a daily additive. [Edit] For those having trouble retrieving the scoop from the tiny bottle, I put a piece of tape on the outside and taped the scoop on the outer part of the bottle, leaving a little 'slot' for the scoop handle to go in. You could also use a rubber band! Results of my cat's cleaning and dental operation: She needed to have 2 premolars extracted just on one side, which had probably been a problem ever since we adopted her-- her other teeth are all fine! I continue giving the ProDen to both cats as a preventative measure because they seem to have absolutely no problem with it, and it's better to be proactive!

Believed cause of excessive shedding, dandruff, & hypothyroid-like symptoms in greyhound.
We have used this product in our 3 yo greyhound's food for over a year (along with brushing her teeth regularly, and taking her in for her yearly dental cleaning), but have noticed no difference in the amount of build-up on her teeth or in her bad breath. We followed the directions for a dog her size (she's 65lbs), and used two scoops a day in her food. As other reviewers have stated, greyhounds have notoriously bad breath and dental problems, so maybe that could account for the product's ineffectiveness? But that's not even my biggest complaint with this product. My biggest issue is that I believe this product caused excessive shedding, dandruff, and other hypothyroid-like symptoms in my greyhound. The breed typically has low thyroid function already, and there is debate on whether or not it should be treated with medication. Unfortunately, our girl was shedding so excessively that she was beginning to bald all over her body (not just the hind quarters). Her belly also went from being pink to a near black color. I took her into the vet, tested her for hypothyroidism, and her t4 levels came back extremely low -- even for a greyhound -- and we had to start her on a synthetic hormone. She was only 2 yos at the time of this diagnosis, which is extremely young for a dog to already be treated for under active thyroid. She was on the synthetic hormone for 7 months, and there was no difference in her shedding, dandruff, or the color of her stomach. In fact, it worsened. Two months ago, I took her back in for more testing. It appeared the synthetic hormone was working, so there shouldn't be any reason for her continued symptoms. The vet was actually concerned that increasing her dosage would shift her into hyPERthyroidism based on her blood panel results. I did some reading and decided to stop giving her PlaqueOff. She has now been off of it for a month. Within two weeks, her stomach changed back to her normal pink color, she is not only NOT shedding, but her coat is shiny and growing back in, and there is NO dry skin or dandruff. I can't prove this product caused hypothyroidism or hypothyroid-like symptoms in my greyhound, but I can tell you that enough improved once I removed PlaqueOff from her food, that I'm beginning to wonder if she even truly has an under active thyroid. I plan on taking her into the vet soon to talk about this and possibly have more t4 panels taken. Another side note: Our greyhound has also routinely had issues with diarrhea and extremely soft stools. We tried feeding her Kirkland's Signature grain-free dog food -- bouts of diarrhea continued. Then we tried Taste of the Wild - bouts of diarrhea continued. Merrick -- bouts of diarrhea continued. Finally, after we stopped giving her off PlaqueOff she has healthy stools. I hope this isn't a common problem, but if it is, I hope this review helps anyone else who is experiencing similar symptoms in their dog.

Clean teeth and no doggy breath!
Plaque Off: It WORKS! $ave dollar$ with this product. Our 70 lb. standard poodle began using this product after a professional and expensive dental cleaning. Just sprinkle 1x a day on dry food. He never fussed and it has very little odor. Our breeder recommended this product and we will continue its use.

The cat who needs this won't touch it
I don't know if this really helps my cat's teeth or not because she won't eat when I add a bit of this. (Her sister eats it fine, but she's not the one with tartar). It does help control her eating-- I sprinkle it over her sister's food and that really slows down the chunky cat eating hers then stealing her sister's food. It does not smell like it would taste very good. But the one cat eats it fine. The one who I bought it for won't touch it

This Product is MUST HAVE! I'm a buyer for life!
This stuff is Uh-Mazing! I switched my dogs food to the dog food at Costco cuz it has good ingredients and the price is right But I noticed that the food was creating a lot of buildup on my dogs teeth ( I have 3 large dogs and two med dogs) I read reviews and purchased this product and it did it's job! Their teeth has zero plaque on them! I don't use it daily I use it internittenly maybe once a week if I remember or even longer I also use OxyFresh Water Additive to their 3 gallon water jug As well as give them plenty of bones and rawhides and cow hooves to chew Like, their teeth look incredible! I was thinking that I was going to have to get all of them a dental cleaning, which is very pricey when one is looking at getting that for 5 dogs But not anymore! This product seriously worked wonders It works at a more intensive level than what I add to the water but what I add to the water goes a lot further for the price. In saying that, my dogs teeth would not be looking as good as they are without this product I 100% believe that and will be purchasing this product for the rest of my life owning dogs (Be aware that this product is a seaweed that helps loosen the plaque so when your dog chews, it can come off of the teeth. This can raise the iodine in their blood. So if your pet has thyroid issues, this product might affect that. I did a bunch of research on this product before purchasing it. It's also why I don't give it to my dog on a daily basis)
