I like that these are stainless steel and won't rust or need painting. I used just the bolt sections on each drawer of an older rolling tool cabinet to keep the drawers closed when moving it. The drawer guides don't have a friction lock to keep them closed. Normally, I would have to close down the entire cabinet and top. I drilled the exact size hole for the bolt to be slid into place along each drawer side. It works perfectly and solves the problem of all the drawers opening when moving it around.

Great latches. Using for a "trap door" to a crawl space that is outside. They're only on for about 2 months so time will tell how they withstand weather but right now there's no rust and they work just fine.

Flimsy little junk. Save your money and time. Screws stripped the very first time I tried to use them. Lowest quality metal in both barrel bolt and especially the screws.

Very thin metal. It is a very light-duty latch, even for its size. The bolt is too short on the back end and the bolt's path is too loose making it very wobbly when installed. They aren't even really that cheap when you compare them to hardware store prices. Also, nowhere on the box does it state that they are "stainless steel". The 2-packs kind of look like they are sold at a dollar store. Not a fan of these, sorry.

These bolt latches are intended only for light projects. The assemblies are made of what I think is .032 Stainless, so it won't take much effort to distort the assembly. The phillips-head screws have very small heads, so I had to make sure the heads wouldn't pull through the mounting holes. I may invest in some broader pan-heads to make sure the assemblies are firmly attached to my projects.

I think it depends what you are using these for. I found them quite flimsy and bent with a few uses. Probably good on a box that is used rarely but not for something you are opening and closing regularly or with any tension. Seems rust proof though so that’s good.
