My son bought me this cause I needed it . It's seems sturdy leather .but the zipper is like a bright gold .and feels a bit dainty. I hope it lasts. I'm sure it will if you don't jam too many coins or bills in the wallet part. It has enough for about 6 to 9 cards but I would not put that many . Maybe three or four tops. Other than that it's a beautiful wallet for people such as myself that doesn't want to carry a purse all the time
