Exceptional quality
Slight peatiness wonderfully balanced with the Highland Park characteristic sweetness. Feels like a natural step up from the 12 yo in every way. Bottle design gorgeous as usual.

Made my dad happy!
Bought for my dad as an 80th birthday present. He thought it was delicious (I’m not a whiskey person so will take his word for it)

Bought the 18 year old - Received the 12 year old!!!
Opened the box and found a Highland Park 12 Year Old in there - thought it was a scam listing to start with but hopefully after sending it back I'll buy it again and get sent the 18 Year Old this time!

Great whisky but overpriced.
This is a great whisky. I've been drinking it for a while and the quality has gone down a bit imo but it's still very good. On the nose and palate it's mostly sweet. Toffee, oranges, green apples. On the palate, heather. It still does the sweet to dry thing Highland Park is famed for. However, the hint of peat smoke this used to have was almost entirely absent on the last bottle I had.So why only 3 stars? Pricing quite simply. The owners who also own Macallan seem to be trying to push Highland Park into the luxury brand bracket alongside Macallan. This simply isn't worth over £100 a bottle. When other 18 years olds are in the £70-80 bracket. This is bottled at 43% rather than 46% and I suspect both chill-filtered and had artificial colouring added.Check out the price of Macallan 18 year old Sherry Oak and see where Highland Park 18 is headed. This will be £200 a bottle before long. Mark my words.

This could be my favourite
I've not tried them all yet, but this will take some beating. Wow! Check back in 40 years or so and I'll let you know if I find better. You will leave time between nips as the amazingly long lasting smoky flavour fades to be replaced at the next nip by sweet Battenberg cake and back to fading smoke..a splendid dram.
