This has been a great product and great price.It would be nice if it came prewashed. I would pay a couple of extra dollars to have it prewashed. The taste and quality are great.

Quinoa is the closest source to balanced protein that exists other than mothers milk. It was banned on pain of death by the Spanish in South America as it was such an important food source to the Inca Empire that they also used it in religious worship. It almost disappeared, but was revived over the past several decades through work by scientists at Brigham Young University in conjunction with university scientists & farmers in Bolivia, Peru & elsewhere. For a vegan diet it is especially important as a great protein source & can be added to almost any dish.

This quinoa is everything I could hope for. It is clean... and I mean clean. No little bits of extraneous material at all. It states it's prewashed and it is. I typically rinse my grains anyway, but there are no bubbles when I rinse, which tells me it's been prewashed. It is all white quinoa, and the grains are uniform in size. I will definitely be ordering from this seller again! I am so super pleased. The nutrition benefits far outweigh rice, so I will continue to use quinoa. Edit - I would like to add that I have purchased quinoa in bulk before. The prior purchase had little bits of stems left. This does not.

I'm not a connoisseur of quinoa, but it's not hard to make, and if done properly, it tastes wonderful. It's fun to experiment with adding flavors or serving it cold in a salad. If you haven't tried this, you're missing out.
