Worked great - stop worrying!!
I put off treating my convertible top for too long - every time I tried to purchase a product, I would shy away, feeling like I needed to research more before risking damage to precious' top. I'm so glad I finally gave in to buying Raggtopp (the reviews helped convince me!)I was fearful for nothing. All went easily and well. It was so nice to finally feel like i had properly washed and conditioned the top. It did look like new once it was all done. I taped off/papered the glass and put sheets over the body just in case when applying the coating. I followed directions closely too.I highly recommend!

Worked Great Following These Steps
After reading a lot of info on how to clean cloth/fabric convertible tops, I used this product on my 2006 Mazda Miata fabric soft top. Here are the steps I took and it worked great:1. Vacuum top thoroughly. Use a soft brush attachment used for furniture (not horse hair). This step removes a LOT of dirt.2. Park car in shade3. Soak top completely with water4. Spray top with cleaner5. Let work a few minutes (up to 20 minutes if top is very dirty).6. Don't let top dry with cleaner on it.7. Use soft brush to scrub top. I used a long-handled car wash brush that you would typically attach to a hose. It worked great.8. Rinse top thoroughly until all soap is gone9. Wash again if still dirty10. Dry top by blowing water off and/or by pressing absorbent towel into top to lift water off.11. Park car in sun to dry.12. Top must be COMPLETELY dry before applying protectant. Will take at least 24 hours or more.13. Park car in garage, out of wind and direct sunlight14. Mask off car windows, rear window, painted surfaces. Use painters tape, newspaper, plastic sheeting, etc.15. Spray light coat of protectant. Do not saturate fabric, but get complete coverage, especially on all seams. Allow to dry 15 minutes in sun.16. Repeat step 15 until you have 3 coats of protectant on. Be sure to spray protectant in the garage out of wind and shade, with surfaces masked.17. Remove masking tape/plastic from masked areas on car.18. Wipe off any overspray.19. Let car top thoroughly dry and cure at least 24 hours in garage.I mistakenly used a horse hair (or similar) brush in step 1 - then had to pick all of the loose hairs off of the top to proceed. A soft, synthetic brush attachment would have worked better.I estimate that I used half of the cleaner and 2/3 of the protectant spray in one cleaning.Washing the top really darkened it up a lot and removed a lot of pollen and dirt.

Great product
Delivered on time in good condition. I bought the kit and an extra can of protectant to have on hand. I read many reviews before going with the RaggTopp protectant. Another brand had good reviews, but I've seen this on AutoGeek and other websites as being approved by manufacturers. Plus, I have a friend who used it on his car recently and it made a huge improvement in the appearance of the top. I have the same model car, (2006), with a top that had never been treated, but was in a little better shape than his.I wet the top with a hose, then applied the cleaner, scrubbing it with the RaggTopp brush which I had to order separately, (with additional shipping charge). It foamed up a little, but not a lot. Since my top hadn't been cleaned really well, I did it twice and let it completely dry before applying the protectant. Used less than half of the cleaner. The RaggTopp protectant went on easily, (in my garage), using most of the can for two coats. If you follow the directions and allow it to dry completely between coats, (better if you take it out in the sun), you will get a great result. My black top is darker and newer looking after cleaning it with the RaggTopp cleaner and applying the protectant. I did mask off the car with tape and towels to avoid messing up the paint, but in an area that got some overspray, it was easy to wipe off (before it dried). There are videos online that you can check out, so that you do it the best way.

RaggTop Convertable Cleaner & Protector Review
Hello ,I used RAggTop Convertable Cleaner and Protector 3 Weeks AgoWashed My Car 2 Times Since using RAggtop ...The Water Still Beaded and ran off the top Today. The Product Works .. My Only Recomondation Is That you use theProtector In a Open Garage .. Ventilated But No Wind ...You Have to Spray The Protector about 8 - 10 Inches FromThe Surface To get a Nice Coat .. Needs 2 CoatsYou May Only get 2 uses from this product ..But i am Happy With The Results.. My Car has been Well MaintainedSo I do not know If a car with More Weathering Or say neglectWould Fair as well ...Do Not use a Horse hair Brush on the top .. use a nice medium bristol brush to clean it then let dry ..Hope this Helps ...
