Ecover Washing Up Liquid, Washing Up Soap, Tough on Grease and Grime, Fresh Lemon & Aloe Scent, 1 x 950ml

The Ecover washing up liquid is a quiet hero in my kitchen. The scent? Lovely. Fresh without being overpowering, and it doesn’t linger on the dishes like some overly perfumed washing liquids do. Just clean, crisp, and done. Performance-wise, it’s spot on. Cuts through grease like it’s got a vendetta against it. Plates, pans, and glasses, everything comes out spotless. I bought it during sale, price-wise, it’s great value even if it was not on sale. You get quality without the guilt, and it lasts longer than I expected. Plus, it’s gentle on the hands, no irritation, no dryness, even after a full sink session. If you want a washing-up liquid that smells great, works hard, and doesn’t cost the earth (literally or figuratively), this one’s a winner.

I bought the 960ml Ecover Lemon & Aloe washing up liquid for the first time back in November 2020, dispatched from and sold by amazon for £2. Came sealed in a clear bag before being put inside a larger Amazon box with paper packing (as many reviewers have commented), I don’t think the extra wrapping is necessarily a bad thing though when there’s a global pandemic on and it also ensures that other items shipped with it remain safe in case of spillages! I was looking for an alternative to my usual Fairy brand as it’s almost impossible to get the hypoallergenic clear version during a pandemic and all the others are either too expensive or cause skin allergies for us. I wasn’t sure what to expect when purchasing the Ecover brand for the first time but so far so good and it even smells nicer too! Another massive plus point from my perspective is that it contains lactic acid. Although lactic acid can sometimes be rough on hands it’s a great bacteria killer and thought to have no negative effects on the environment or cause bacterial resistance like many antibacterial agents do. To be honest, I’m not sure why this isn’t in most cleaning products but you certainly don’t find it in the regular Fairy dish soap! I debated whether to get the 450ml originally but finally went for the larger size due to price; the one downside to this is that the bottle plastic isn’t any where near as hard/stable as other brands so you can accidentally squeeze a lot out once the lid is open (I’m not sure if this is also true of the smaller size?). To combat this however, we’ve been transferring it into used hand soap bottles which works perfectly; it’s watery enough to come out of the pump with no problems and actually makes it MUCH easier to use when you have a sponge in one hand and dishes in the other! Definitely recommend!! All in all a great washing up liquid, I’m so glad we made the switch. The bottle could be better but then perhaps that’s part of the eco-friendly concept and it’s not any hassle to transfer it into more robust bottles for daily use, it’s a large enough bottle!!

This was a lovely product, smells amazing without being overpowering. Unfortunately it was delivered upside down and the lid does not seal, so I lost half the bottle before I even opened the packaging. Not sure if I will buy it again just for this reason. I would buy the product from the supermarket

Love the smell. It's eco friendly. Not as soapy as some of the other none eco brand, but I just add a little water to it and I get a lot more suds.

Quality product and only requires a small amount each wash.
