I was looking at the drafting version of this chair, which I assume is not limited to the 20.75" seat height posted previously, so I found the description from the manufacturer which states a seat height range of 23"-30", which is about adequate for most standing desks accommodating people under 6' tall.

I believe it is 300+. I'm 280 and that is why I bought this particular chair. And, it has been perfect.

Would this chair be decent for 8 hour work days at the computer?

I have this chair in the regular height as well as a drafting height. I spend 8+ hours at a desk and I find these chairs extremely comfortable. I have back problems and would like a little more lumbar support in the back, but that's just me. Not wanting to spend more on a chair with this adjustment, my solution is a little travel pillow placed in the small of my back--PERFECT.
