Mission Defrostable (Lady Pancake & Sir French Toast, 3)

I bought this book in the fall - it appeared to be in perfect condition on arrival and so I put it aside to give to my daughter at Christmas. When we read it after Christmas, however, two of the pages were stuck together to the point that I had to rip them apart in order to continue reading. This was definitely damaged during printing or packaging, not after it arrived (seems like glue from the spine). The time has passed to return the item obviously, so I'm stuck with a ruined book rather than a good copy.

Another fantastic addition to this fun series of books. Expect the same food puns, rhyme, and twist endings. If you loved the others, you need this book. If you are not familiar with this series, I recommend you give it a try. I have not found a child who doesn’t love this book, and I have students who remember the first two from 2nd grade and were extremely excited to read it today as 4th graders. If kids have pure excitement and anticipation to read a book, that is a wonderful book. Also, the illustrations are awesome! I love this series!

After reading Lady Pancake & Sir French Toast to my 3rd-grade class, the BEGGED for more books by Josh Funk!! I ordered this one that same day and the kids literally asked me several times to check the tracking on the package for when it would arrive. When we finally read it as a class both the girls and boys enjoyed this book and were doubled over laughing through several of the pages. The 8-9 year old age group I was reading to could really grasp the underlying humor in the book and take in all of the illustrations. I can see how the wordy-ness along with the detailed (amazing) illustrations could be a bit much for a younger kindergarten aged reader but for my 8-9 year olds it was a perfect read aloud to get our day started.

We own all three books in this series and love them all. The illustrations in these books are fun and add so much to the story. I will say that even though we love this third book our favorite one is the original story, which we purchased again this year for several Christmas gifts. However, this story has a twist and a "villain" so it is sure to keep your little one entertained. Happy reading!!

We have all 4 of these books. They're pretty clever, cute, and funny. Enjoyable for adults to have to read. Definitely recommend. Would be a nice gift.

These books are some of our favorites, so our family was pumped when we saw there was a third one! Cute rhyming funny stories are the best and these do not disappoint - your kids will love all three in this series. The pictures are awesome for the kids to look at!

The kids in my life were really looking forward to the return of Lady Pancake and Sir French Toast, and they weren't disappointed! The fun rhymes, word play, cool characters, and interesting illustrations captivate them! They especially like that the last page folds out, with even more frigid fun to see!
