Puncture free for 1000 miles
I replaced my Ultremo DD on my back wheel with the Durano Plus after having gone through 3 sets of Ultremo, each lasting me 6-700 miles or roughly a replacement every 2 months. So far I'm up to 1000 miles on this one, and it still looks brand new. Ultremo definitely rolls better, but with a 26 mile commute on very mixed roads I'm willing to sacrifice some of that performance for resistance.Even with very good protection it's still a fairly light tire. I find the combination of Schwalbe Ultremo DD Tire on the front wheel and Durano Plus on the back to be the best I've tried so far and definitely worth the money.UPDATEHad my first flat tire today after more than 2 years with a daily commute of 12 miles and the tires are pretty worn by now. But that means I got almost 5000 miles out of the tire before I had to replace it. Buying the exact same one again.

Excellent
Whenever I evaluate a puncture-resistant tire, I compare it to the Specialized Armadillo, the standard by which all other puncture-resistant tires are measured. The Armadillo will survive World War III but is heavy and rides like the wheels on a Flintstones car. These tires are as tough as the Armadillo but have a more supple ride than even the lightweight Bontrager Race Lite Hardcase tires that they replaced on my bike. Claimed weight is 340 grams vs. 335 for the Hardcase and the price is $5 more. They also have a folding bead, unlike the Hardcase and Armadillo which are both wire. Finally, they are pretty easy to get on the rim as long as you use at least two tire levers.I ride on some filthy, crappy roads that never get swept and are littered with debris including lots of glass. In a year and a half of commuting 5 miles a day, this tire has punctured once, caused by some kind of sharp metal pokey thingy. With my Hardcases, although they were quite tough, the outer tread got really cut up over time. On these it's still mostly smooth.I'm still satisfied with the Armadillo on my 26" commuter bike -- where sheer puncture resistance matters above all else -- but on my road bike, it's Durano Plus all the way.

Tough as nails rubber keeps the air in flats away.
Great tires at an even greater price.

nice tire after the struggle to put the tube on
Boy it was a nightmare to put onto the rim. i never have to use tire levers to put on a tire. Hopefully once its on, i don't get a flat because i don't know if i would be able to remove it, and install it on the road. i'm hoping having it being used, and stretched it would be easier if i do get a flat

3 Flats within 500 miles commuting
I really wanted this tire to work. I bought it to replace the worn rear tire It has a peppy response and decent low rolling resistance. The problem is I get too many flats. Looking at the patches on my tube, it appears they are either left or right of the protective belt. The old tire lasted 3000+ miles without a single flat. A bike shop recommended something with "bead to bead" protection so I went with a Continental Gatorskin. I'm almost at 1000 miles now with no flats.

Low rolling resistance, higher inertia, puncture vine proof.
Purchased and mounted a trial set. They were difficult to get mounted on the rims, but thereafter I've not had to fix any flats at all. This is tack weed and broken glass country, so I was looking for a solution to changing at least one tube per ride. A bonus is that I cannot perceive any increase in rolling resistance. I pump them to 120 psi (the tire limit is 145 psi). The rotational inertia is indeed evident due to the 395 grams weight, but once up to speed, I sail right along as before. I haven't ridden enough yet to know how the tread life is going to be, and I don't know yet how difficult it will be to change a tube now that these tires are seasoned. But who cares!: I've noticed broken-off tack weed spines in the tires but have not yet had to do more than my routine pump-up once a week.

2,5 years and NO FLATS
2.5 years riding it.....no flats, an average of 75 kms a week.......having rode through bottle debris , what else do you need to know.....these ride much better than conti hardshell, what else does anyone need to know, solid investment period.

Good tire for fixie commuter
Doesn't disappoint as a commuter tire. Good life on a fixie for wear and flat protection.
