Not too heavy, not too light. The balance is great and it looks nice and is easy to clean. What else can one say? The tenderizer does its job and the pounding side does its job. I suppose one could abuse it by trying to use it as a household hammer or something, but if you use it for its intended purpose, this should last a lifetime.

So sturdy and heavy metal, one side has points, the other side is smooth. Cleanup a breeze. Really tenderize’s your meats beautifully! Great purchase.

The product is good, but if I ever lose the box I will purchase the product for the oddly Chinese to English translation. New words have entered the English vocabulary such as "fullyfunctional" , stretch,let", and "Garlic,ginger". I treasure the unique combinations of words that comprise phrases that have never been or will be uttered intentionally by an English speaking person. I applaud the work and effort that went into composing the instructions, but I will purchase any of their future translations from Chinese to English issued by the person. It, even if was unintentional, has returned humor into a home burdened by the sadness caused modern events. Thank you to the person who provided the translation for "High-grade meat lamented" and "Ergonomic The Handle" and I am looking forward to purchasing the next product you translate just so I can enjoy the unique combination of words you use to describe the product. Because it's easy to clean, although I haven't run it in the dishwasher yet due to it being built from at least 2 parts. I think it may come apart at the seams if I do. It is built well and has a good weight and feel to it. It weighes 14.5 oz, or 413 grams. The right pic shows the seam. It's very sturdy.

I've rarely used a meat pounder, generally substituting my rolling pin for that act, but I wanted to flatten chicken breasts a little thinner than I was getting them for certain recipes. This thing does the trick. It's weighted well, has a flat end and a tenderizing end. No crevices for food to get stuck in, and it's easy to clean. I recommend it--but if you're primarily language is English, you'll chuckle a bit at the translations on the box!

Decided to get a stainless dishwasher safe model after having to throw two away because they started to rust. Not much to say about how I use it other than I hit meat with it and the meat gets softer. It's much heavier than the kind you see in the grocery stores which means you need to hit half as hard. I like how the spikes aren't too sharp or close together so meat doesn't stick to them, so no scrubbing before putting it in the dishwasher. The smooth handle doesn't bother me at all because I can just wrap my index finger around the top where it gets thinner. 5/5.

I had to use this meat hammer several times before I made a review and I have to say I am very pleased. It has gone thru the dishwasher many times and still looks like new. My son borrows it a lot so it get 5 star reviews from both male and female.
