Great proofing basket for sourdough bread. This basket when thoroughly floured with rice flour is great for the final sourdough proofing. The rice flour, rubbed into the spaces between the coils of wood, prevents the dough from sticking and allows the shaped loaf of dough to come out easily for placement in a loaf pan for baking. The ridges of the coil make nice shapes in the dough too. I use the cloth cover to protect the floured basket as it isn't necessary to wash the basket between uses. In fact it is best to not get it wet. I like the oval.shaped loaf so I use this basket more than another banner on I have for round loaves.

Perfect! Just bought an oblong Dutch Oven and needed a corresponding proofing basket. This was perfect, just the right size and like the lining. Fast delivery and came at the same time as my Dutch Oven.

These are perfect. We are new to the sourdough game and wanted to try a loaf style. We had only made a few round ones. You won’t be disappointed.

Nice basket. Smaller than I expected, but seems to work as it should. I'm new to sourdough and this is my first oval banneton so I have nothing to compare the size to. My wood pulp round bannetons are larger. I line mine with parchment paper for proofing.

This proofing basket is put together well and has a nice finish, the liner is of good quality. It is important to have one of these Baskets for the loaf Sourdough to rise properly. This is the second Basket I have purchased as my wife is now making more sourdough bread.I Highly recommend this Banneton Basket!

It was much smaller than I expected when I received it, but when I used it, it was exactly the right size and shape for my sourdough.

The size is fine for a 500g bread flour loaf. I’d give the basket itself a 5 and the liner a 1. I washed it on delicate and hung to dry. On the 2nd washing it started coming apart, so I tossed it. I now flour a thin cloth napkin to line the bowl and that works fine. I find myself needing a 2nd basket and I like this one enough that I will probably buy another even though I know the liner won’t last.

My daughter is making sourdough bread and she wanted these. These were a Christmas gift. She loves it.

Basket arrived in very good condition but the scoring lame is broken and covered with sticky gluey material. It come in a set and noy sure if i can get a replacement lame only.

Basket quite a bit smaller than expected. Lame ok, not super sharp. Wish they had a round basket in the set. Also the dough scraper would be handy to have rounded edges so you can scrape out a bowl...

The perfect size for a 500g sourdough loaf! This is a quality banneton, well made, no chemical smell, sturdy and the twin pack was a bonus!

Used the prooving baskets for ciabatta loaves. Loaf without the basket was a disaster, so these are VERY highly recommended.
